My wife and I have a few pets. One I had before we met and another she had before we met. We got a bearded dragon, Lily, right after we started dating. She was our first pet together and she was always our little friend. We moved multiple times across the country with her and she was there on so many little adventures we had. We couldn't have asked for a better pet as she was so easy to deal with and also so much fun. We loved her like a child and we never thought we would say that about a bearded dragon. Without any warning, she became very ill. In only a few hours, she started getting so sick we were scrambling to find a 24-hour reptile vet. The nearest one was Denver and we didn't feel we had the time to get her there. We ran out and got everything we could from electrolytes to additional vitamins. None of the vets would tell us anything over the phone and just insisted on us throwing her in a box and driving all the way to Denver without anything to help her in that moment. When we got home with her new stuff, she had passed. In only three short hours, we lost a very big part of our life and our heart. Her usual vet here in town got back with us the following day and assured us there was nothing we could have done different and he was absolutely shocked at how fast she declined. He doesn't even have an idea of what could have happened to her. It might seem silly to some people, but Lily was a member of our family and we loved her more than we could express through words. We were both absolutely distraught and did not know what else to do. At first we were going to bury her in our yard, but we settled on cremation instead. This was the first place that popped up on Google and I called them. Over the phone, Maggie was fantastic and extremely helpful. She was able to get us in the same day I called. She gave us an estimate of about $115 which seemed pretty fair for a bearded dragon. When we dropped her off, Maggie was there and extremely friendly. She took a great interest in Lily's life and learned a little about bearded dragons. She took the extra time to make some hand prints and a nose print of Lily, despite it not working too well for a bearded dragon. It was still a lovely little keepsake for us and didn't turn out too bad. Maggie was so friendly and reassuring that I fully trusted our little girl would be taken care of. That same evening, around 530, Maggie called me back. She clearly stayed late and tried to get the process finished for us. Sadly, the funeral home was closed and nobody would be there to give Lily back to us. First thing the following morning we were there to pick up what was left of Lily and bring her back. Even the funeral home was very sweet and helpful to us. We realized when we got back in the car Maggie had left a painted rock and an extremely wonderful card for us. Maggie clearly went the extra mile to take care of Lily and knowing nothing would take the pain away, still tried her best to make us feel the slightest bit better. Thank you Maggie and everyone from Devoted Friends for your help, understanding, and love you showed our little girl. This was an awful experience for us, but whatever it means to you guys, your kindness helped us a little bit. With all the other pets we have, I know we will experience other periods as difficult as this. We will definitely trust Devoted Friends to take care of all our babies when those days come again. Maggie, you're a truly wonderful person and I cannot thank you enough for all your help. If someone from Devoted Friends replies to this, please let me know how I can send a tip for Maggie. She deserves it for the extra care.

I brought my Nebin dog here for cremation. It’s a small unassuming place but very respectful. The reception area is a small room with a pillowed table to rest your pet on. This of course isn’t a business that anyone WANTS to use, but when the time is right I wouldn’t choose anything else. The last thing we’d like to think about when putting a loved one to rest is the cost, but they are very reasonable and put me at ease with the whole process. They explained their facilities for keeping remains and the whole process of cremation. It sounds morbid to say but they have a personalized touch here. They do individual cremations and I felt that my dogs remains were in hands that would give him the respect and dignity that I would wish for him. Thank you.
