Losing a loved one is never easy, but the compassionate and professional team Peace Of Mind helped make a very difficult time more bearable. From the moment we contacted them, they treated our family with empathy, patience, and respect. Every detail of the service was handled with care—from the planning and coordination to the day of the funeral itself. They took the time to listen to our needs and helped us create a service that truly honored our loved one’s memory. The facility is well-kept, providing a comfortable space for family and friends to gather and say goodbye. What stood out most was the personal attention we received. Robert was especially kind and guided us through every step with grace and understanding. We are truly grateful for the support and professionalism shown by the staff at Peace Of Mind during one of the hardest times in our lives. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of funeral services.
Fantastic group of people here. They came recommended to us from the Hospice nurses. We were concerned as we had spoken to another facility that was super high pressure for an elaborate funeral. Our family member had done no planning, no insurance and no money. We were on a tight budget and Robert and his team listened and provided us feasible and affordable options. They helped us provide a dignified and respectful viewing and burial. I am forever thankful.
At this difficult time, when my father passed away,my family expresses enormous gratitude to the funeral home staff and especially to Robert A. Prostek. For their warm welcome and excellent professional service. At this moment of grief, we felt like one family! We wish you all the best and success in your hard emotionally challenging work!
I spoke with Robert Sr, this morning. He was very clear and candid with the pricing and respectful. nobody ever prepares for the death of a loved one, but when you have somebody professional willing to essentially drop everything with the understanding that there’s a lot going on it means a lot. professional service with good rates.
This funeral home caused unnecessary pain during one of the most devastating times of my life. They had my sister’s body for four weeks and they did not cremate her as scheduled. Without notifying me, they pushed back her cremation date. I only discovered this because I called to check on her. No one had the decency to inform my family of the delay. The staff was rude, dismissive, and condescending throughout the process. At one point, my sister was referred to as “pretty obese,” which they used to justify charging $150 for a cardboard box. That comment was cruel, inappropriate, and deeply unprofessional. What makes this even more disturbing is that despite repeatedly emphasizing her size, the urn I received was unexpectedly light. I am now left with the unsettling thought and emotional distress of hoping I actually received my sister’s remains. Her cremation was only completed after they realized I was preparing to have her transferred to another funeral home. Because they failed to finish her cremation the night before her funeral, I was then charged extra for cemetery delivery, something that should never have happened in the first place. This establishment failed at the most basic responsibility: providing dignity, respect, and communication. There was no compassion, no accountability, and no professionalism. If you are looking for peace of mind during an already unbearable time, do not go here. This was a joke of a funeral home and an absolute failure in care. Response update: Thank you for your response. However, several key points in it are inaccurate and require clarification. At the time I was notified that my sister’s cremation would be delayed, I was told it would take an additional week beyond the original 3–4 week timeframe that had been given to me. That would have meant nearly five weeks before I received my sister’s remains(because your crematory was under repair but my family was not notified). Based on the timeframe you provided, I deliberately scheduled her funeral exactly four weeks out, expecting that commitment to be honored. The cremation was only completed after my family repeatedly followed up and made it clear we were prepared to have her transferred elsewhere. That is not accommodation; that is damage control. Additionally, the issue was never whether my family could pick up the remains. The issue was that the cremation was not completed until the last minute, which directly resulted in additional charges that would not have existed had the process been handled within the timeframe provided. What your response fails to acknowledge is the emotional impact this caused. Your lack of communication and shifting timelines sent my grieving parents; who had just lost a child, into a downward spiral, compounding an already unbearable situation. Lastly, I will not be “urged” to contact anyone further. When I did reach out, the individuals I spoke with were rude, dismissive, and condescending. Offering a “hassle-free experience” after the fact is ironic, considering the experience provided was anything but. This feedback is not about pricing or policies, it is about communication, accountability, and basic human decency during one of the worst moments of a family’s life.
