We are very very pleased with the preparations made for my Father In Law's visitation and graveside service at Mountain View. We'd like to express a special acknowledgement to Makiah Nowlin, Funeral Director, for his compassion, care, and attention to details. He was particularly patient and understanding when I asked him to edit the obituary a number of times. In our time of grief, he went the extra mile for the Johnson family! We are grateful to each and every employee who made my Father In Law's "send off" memorable and beautiful. Thank you, Mountain View!
We were helped by Makiah and his team. When we first met him we weren’t sure if he was the right one to help us. But we merely needed to establish a relationship. After that first encounter and reaching out to him through texts and phone calls there was no doubt in my mind that he was going to be our greatest help In getting things squared away at Mountain View. Makiah was always there for us checking up on us. He never hesitated to check on how he could help us and possibly make things better. He showed us that he truly cared for us and made sure we were taken care of. On behalf of my family thank you Makiah for your service. We appreciate you more than you know.
I had the pleasure of working with Shakti at Mountain View Memorial Park, and she truly made a difficult topic so much easier to navigate. She helped me plan for my future funeral with the perfect balance of professionalism, kindness, and humor. Shakti was incredibly helpful, patient, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process. What could’ve been a heavy and emotional appointment turned into something uplifting because of her. She absolutely made my day. I’m grateful for her guidance and highly recommend Shakti to anyone needing support with planning. She is a blessing during a time when compassion and clarity matter most.
A year ago today my grandfather passed away unexpectedly and there was no doubt in my mind that Mountain View was our funeral home of choice. From the first call I made to Sue about his imminent passing to set an appointment, to Russ our Funeral Director who guided us through the process, everyone treated my family as if we were their own. The cremation operator, Christine, who was present at our witness cremation gave me reassurance, patience, and a calming presence during the most difficult day of my life. I will be forever grateful for the promises and compassion that all the employees provided to my family. I highly recommend Mountain View to all who have lost a loved one.
Too Expensive, be careful for their sales people they will upsell unnecessary products you do NOT need during a time of sorrow. It’s all for COMMISSION. Oh and never Never NEVER prepay a dime towards a monuments/markers with this company. It is NON-Transferrable. Especially, if you find something better and cheaper at another company. They don’t make their own upright or markers, they go thru a 3rd party. I suggest shopping elsewhere or going thru EDGEWOOD MONUMENTS they have a variety of uprights selection in their office. Reasonable pricing, offer payment plans and much better designs. Dying doesn’t have to be costly, oh and NEVER let these people know there’s Life Insurance. They will try to upsell all the unnecessary products to swallow all if not most of the Life Insurance. Ask for a total charge and finalizing it before letting them know there’s life insurance involved. Hope this will spread awareness to every family who are grieving their loved ones. Funerals does not have to break your pockets no ifs or buts about it. Signed your concerned neighbor!!!!
