My mother passed a little over 7 months ago and I finally feel strong enough to make this review. Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory was wonderful. They were very supportive and compassionate throughout the whole process. I didn’t feel rushed and I didn’t feel pressured. I felt the coordinator was very transparent of all the cost and process and was also sensitive to my financial situation and helped my husband and I navigate and decide what was best suited for us. My mother couldn’t have been placed in better hands, and for that I appreciate the entire staff of Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the service and courtesy we received from Nelsen Funeral Home. From our initial meeting with Matthew to do the pre-planning to Melissa at the front office who did so much for us (including scanning a million photos) to Bobby and Michael for arranging/attending the services to those who came to the cemetery for the internment (which was delayed) in the rain to the aftercare we continue to receive . . . every question has been answered, every concern addressed (we had issues with the cemetery that were resolved by the funeral home) with compassion and efficiency. They made the process as smooth as possible and every little detail was attended to without us having to give too much thought to it. We were so impressed that we went ahead and made our pre-need arrangements. Thank you, Nelsens, for taking the stress out of this difficult time.

Incredible staff who took time out of their busiest conference weekend to answer all my questions! Robert West at the Richmond location provided ample resources and guidance. Knowledgable of all legalities, civilian and military service details and end of life burial/cremation options. Thank you!

Nelsen provided a very complete set of services for all arrangements necessary to care for our deceased love one. The Funeral Director was caring, reassuring, and totally focused on our needs - there was no pressure placed on us to choose services we did not want. The facilities were perfect for family, viewing, funeral, and reception. Highly recommend consulting with Nelsen if you need assistance with the death of a loved one.

My son and I met with Bobby, who is very friendly, personal, and professional. He listened to our needs, addressed our concerns and informed us of all the options that were available. My son and I had chosen a package that reflected my mother, (his grandmother), and the outcome was wonderful. I sincerely recommend Nelsen Funeral Home for the extravagant way her memory was honored.
