Nothing can prepare you to lose a loved one, especially not your own child (in my case). There's a bunch of steps, and plans to be made for your loved one and i had no idea just how much. Cremation society of New Hampshire made it so I had to do the minimum. From the paperwork, to the slide show and everything in-between. They are all very kind, compassionate and understanding. I could not have asked for a better experience for my son Darek. They even set up the service area for me with his hockey equipment, picture boards and items for the guests as I just couldn't function and was having a hard time even walking into the building. It was so beautiful it made me cry as soon as i walked in. Thank you all, for everything! I appreciate you!
The Cremation Society of N.H. in Brattleboro VT was amazing throughout the process of planning my mother's final arrangements. I had never had to plan someone's final arrangements, so it was scary and emotional. I was exhausted from caring for my mom in her final weeks. The Cremation Society was very helpful. The website was easy to use and they were availableby phonefor questions. I signed up as a member for a $30 fee. This made it much easier to rest assured that when the moment of death came, that we had a plan. My mother passed, we called the Cremation Society, they were very understanding of the fact that because my mom died in my home, family wanted to have the final viewing here. They respected our time to gather and arrived when we were ready. They drove to Greenfield, MA from NH . I was surprised that when the driver's left with my mother's body, that they put on the hazard lights( like in a funeral procession) They were so kind. They were very informative throughout the process. When the time came to pick up my mom's ashes, I was again surprised by their compassion. I expected the process to be transactional and impersonal. Instead, I arrived to flowers and a prayer bench in the chapel, displaying my mom's ashes. I was moved to tears by the kindness and respect. The Cremation Society was very affordable and offered options to pay a little at a time leading up to the death. They even offer complimentary help with guiding people through the process of dealing with the business side of death. Social security, death certificates, starting the probate process, etc. All very helpful. They have even checked in with me to see how I an doing and if I need any help with anything. I absolutely recommend using them! These people go above and beyond! They offer a wide service area and a wide selection of "packages ". I was also surprised that they offer financial assistance to those who are low income. While we did not need that assistance, I did like seeing that they believe that everyone deserves a dignified cremation/ burial.
This was our second time with them 7 years ago with my dad and last month with My Mom. They are a very professional, and courteous Staff. This picture is how they had mom displayed when we went to pick her up. My husband and I are already prepaid, hopefully not needed for a long time! They also have new services to help you navigate thru the paperwork after.
The death of my mother was so sudden and unexpected. I was not ready for her passing and then faced with planning her funeral. I was so grateful for choosing Cremation Society of NH. Max and his staff were very attentive, informative and sincere in their handling of my mother’s services. They made such a difficult time easier to deal with.
Max and Elizabeth were very helpful to myself and my daughter-in-law, with the procedure, paperwork and all the information we needed to follow up with other agencies during this very difficult time. They have followed up to see if we needed any assistance and support. Myself and my family are very thankful to have had them on board with us.
