My baby girl Nessie passed away August first at 16. It felt like I had my best friend my whole life, and yet not long enough. My vet arranged for her to be sent to Lasting Paws. I picked out an urn and ink paw print. A couple days later I changed my mind and wanted a ceramic paw print. They were extremely kind and thankfully were able to fulfill my wishes. I got my baby back today and spent almost an hour hugging her urn. The paw print was perfect.
We took our 18 year old dog to VCA in Taylorsville to be euthanized. They told us we would need to wait for Lasting Paws to contact us about any memorial items we wanted (which we explicitly expressed we would want). The vet gave Lasting Paws the wrong email address (Lasting Paws said the email kept getting bounced back) and instead of calling us (they had our phone number) or making any kind of effort to correct the mistake, they cremated my dog. They sent us 1 text message on 11/6 stating the deadline for a decision was the 8th of November. We called today, the 7th, and they stated they had already cremated him. Now, I have no memento for my sweet old man that we lost after 18 years. These are people’s family members!! I can’t believe more effort wasn’t made to contact us before the cremation AND that he was cremated prior to the given deadline. Shame on you guys!
Thank you Lasting Paws for honoring our last wishes for our beloved Koda. They worked directly with Valley Veterinary hospital which made the process as easy as possible during such a difficult time. The options to honor your beloved pet are endless. We choose a simple cedar box that is absolutely beautiful engraved with our dogs name.
I lost my dear, sweet little cat, Panther Friday after Thanksgiving. I choose to have her cremated with All Paws as my veterinarian recommended this company. Her urn I chose wasn’t available right away, however they let me take her home in a silk bag until it was to come. I was so relieved to have her home with me and Mirabelle was great at updating me of the urn’s eta. I brought her back to All Paws crematorium, and they placed her ashes in the urn I had ordered, and it was well worth the wait. They were very understanding and caring during this very emotional time. I am extremely grateful for their sympathy. They also provided great resources for dealing with the grief of losing one of our dear little angels.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Called Family animal services which I have used many times to find out that they sold out to Lasting paws Pet Memorial, which at first was okay, let’s try them. Then when calling and speaking to the person on the phone I asked how much it would be for my 45lb Husky to be cremated they ask private creamation I said yes the cost was way over $300 I said okay because I had used Family animal services couldn’t be bad right well I was wrong, I later called to get a price for my pet rat they quoted me $275 for him which wasn’t even a pound, where before it was $90 with a nice engraved plaque and a small wooden urn. I was like are you serious right now for my dog it’s $300+ and a rat was $275 I was furious with the price for a small rat. I asked to speak to the Manager, ohhh there in a meeting she took my name and number said they would call me back. Later I received a call back from the lady from earlier and said the manager would do $100 for my rat but they would give me a pouch for him. At that point I was so disgusted over the whole interaction I canceled my dogs cremation, and found another place local, that was cheaper and also gave us more things to remember our pet. There was no compassion or empathy from that lady on the phone, our pets our family and when it comes to end of life they deserve to have the best not some company gouging money from people. I will never use or recommend this company. I am sad to see family animal services go they were friendly and compassionate and had empathy towards what I was feeling.
