Music City Mortuary is a well-reviewed pet aftercare provider serving families in Nashville, TN. Known for their compassionate, caring, professional approach, they offer private cremation services and communal cremation options. As one family shared: "Absolutely awful service! They returned my fiancé and my mother-in-laws son in..." With a 4.2-star
Absolutely awful service! They returned my fiancé and my mother-in-laws son in a ziplock plastic bag, not the thick double ply bag no zip tie was used no label stating who was in the bag/urn. When we called them they denied doing him that way. We asked them how our loved one would be handled and they told us the proper way a cremation is suppose to take place, not the way our loved one was returned. They treat your loved one horrible, with no dignity or respect! They have zero over the phone professionalism, basically feed you lies to get your money and they will hang up on you and tell you they have no time for you! Look elsewhere when choosing a crematory for your loved one not MCM!
Would not. Recommend! High volume Non. Personable service mainly contracted by. Funeral homes to handle their embalming, shipping, removals and cremations. Not a personalized Firm where you know your director and who is caring for your loved one ! Facility not in a very desirable area of Nashville! More like a warehouse in a commercial area near the cities railroad yard!
I own and operate a funeral home in Red Lion, PA and recently worked with a family locally who had a loved one pass in TN. I was referred to the Music City Mortuary by the local ME in Tennessee. The professionalism over the phone/email, promptness with getting documents to me and expertise with the embalming is top notch. Anna was wonderful to work with - very kind and professional! If I am ever in need of assistance with another service out of state, I will most certainly be calling them again.
Music City Mortuary handled the transportation of my grandmother. The representative who came to transport the corpse was incredibly compassionate and professional. He treated the body with respect and reverence. He was empathetic and kind, allowing us all the time we wanted to say goodbye. I cannot recommend MCM enough. Thank you for making a difficult task a bit easier.
I'm a widow of three weeks. My sweetheart was a no nonsense kind of guy. If you were giving away free samples he was in line. He appreciated good service and a quality job, but he suffered no fools. He gave and expected honest, straightforward service and care. The day after he passed my daughters and I met with a funeral home that was local to us. We were quoted $3500.00 for cremation and six certified copies of the death certificate. We decided then to go a different route as my hubby would have done. We desired NO service, NO urn, NO frills as one of our children was out of the country in school and couldn't be home and services needed to be postponed. Music City Mortuary is the Crematory that several funeral homes use. It turns out the 'local' funeral home did. Music City did the VERY SAME job, with less of the 'fake' funeral home 'atmosphere' for under $1000.00. YES a 2500.00 savings over fancy gray suits, perpetual flame lanterns, and turquoise stone watchbands. Thank You Music City for taking care of our family with out taking advantage of our grieving.
