I can't say enough nice things about Peebles Pet Service. We first found them in 2022 when our Chihuahua, Katie crossed the rainbow bridge. Then recently her feline sister Kaylee also passed. They're always so empathetic and caring. Customer service is at an 11!
They were a bit out of the way for us, but I'm so glad I found them. Our girl, Vala, died somewhat suddenly, and we brought her to Peebles because they were clear on their pricing on the website (it was night time, and I didn't have to energy to call around a bunch of places). I called that night to ask the process, and was met with compassion and kindness while I cried, but all of my questions were answered clearly. We took her in the next morning, and were met with that same energy-compassion, kindness, and a clear love for these animals. We chose the no return cremation, but were told about where they are lovingly scattered, and it was said, "she'll be among friends." I thought this was a lovely sentiment. Even as we were walking in, we were greeted and given condolences-I'm not sure who she was to Peebles, but I guess she works there. I am guessing she works in the...people services? part of Peebles. She was with other people, but broke away to speak to us and make sure we knew where to go. It likely wasn't evident in the moment, but I was touched that we were treated like anyone losing a family member. That's exactly how she came off to me. She was a funeral director guiding the family through this part of the process. In the pet services building, we were greeted by a woman who just shone with a love of animals. Like, we knew she was "our kind" of people. We talked and shared pictures of our animals, hers and ours, and she talked about the work she does. She took Vala so gently, and assured us she'd be cared for. Yes, we drove 45 minutes from home to go here. There were other places closer that I'm sure are lovely. But they made the process easy not only with the kindness we were shown when we got there, but also with the "ugly part" of the process-the transparency of cost and options available. I can only assume that they are the same way with the human part of the process, and the memorial gardens are just gorgeous (there's a pet section too). I highly recommend.
Amanda and Frankie were so kind and compassionate when we lost our English Mastiff. 10/10 recommend🐾🩷
Such a terrible situation and time for us losing our 8 y/o pug. But, Bill came out and opened the business at 1230 in the morning after an ice storm to accommodate us after just losing our baby an hour earlier. He was so very kind. He laid out our baby "Mouse" in a viewing area so we could spend a little more time with him. Took care of us and our needs and had our "Mouse" back home to us in less then 1 1/2 business days.
We lost our Lucy on May 4. Our world was completely shattered, as well as our other dog, Piper. My husband knew that he wanted to cremate Lucy, but I sure wasn't on board since I have only buried my animals that I have lost. We called and Bill was so nice and calm on the phone. He had Amy meet us up there and she took the upmost care of Lucy (and us!) We were distraught since we had just lost her not even an hour before. Amy explained everything to us in great detail. I could tell that our Lucy was in great hands! She texted me if she had any questions and let me know when Lucy was ready to be picked up. I cant begin to express my thanks to Bill and Amy for such great customer service during everything. When I went to pick up Lucy, I met another sweet co-worker since Amy was not able to be there. His name was Ryan. He was so sweet and caring. He went over the instructions on how to care for the wood on the urn we chose, and how to add a picture in it. When it was time to leave, he carried Lucy to my car and strapped her in the seatbelt. I know that it was just her urn and some other items we had added, but I thought it was so thoughtful and caring. Peebles took the upmost care of our girl, and I am forever grateful for them. I have also since changed my mind and will now be getting my pets cremated ONLY with Peebles!! Thank you Bill, Amy, and Ryan for your amazing customer service!! Pet parents like me greatly appreciate it!! It did not and will not go unnoticed. I have told everyone about you guys! Thank you again-
