Sorry you guys. The location Garners ferry handled my mother‘s attire and I wasn’t pleased. I’m very much aware of skin darkening after sitting over a course of time, but I clearly asked for no over the top make up. My mother had red lipstick in which she would never wear and red fingernail polish on which she never wore. Me and my family were very disappointed at the way she looked. One of her boobs was up to her shoulder and the other one level. Her face was swollen on one side. Instead of them communicating with me to tell me hey something might’ve went wrong. They never communicated with me about that. The location in Saint Matthews was where I had my mother services. The casket that was a rental was awful. Get rid of it. There was no music that I chose for her slideshow played, except when we walked in. And there were no pictures on the screen that I chose to be on the screen when we were having the service. I was not pleased with the way that my mother looked. The first thing I said was no that’s not my mama my family I could hear them saying oh no. I’m glad I didn’t publicize it because I myself was embarrassed. I will say the funeral director was amazing. She was about her business. And you can tell she don’t play. Lol.She always looked amazing so I guess I just expected a little more.

Oh my..nothing short to say but a hot mess..I was impressed with a funeral I saw them do back in 2013, but what I have witnessed over this pass week is a far cry from back then..I don't know what has taken placed from then until now ,but I suggest they just start all the way over....some staff tried to be pleasant and professional, but some of the other ones need to take some etiquette and customer service classes.... I'm not saying the customer is always right, but in this case, they were..I highly recommend Collins Funeral Home..this is the start of a brand new yr and if this is how the rest of the yr is going to go, then I truly feel sorry for the families who are to use them in the future.. I'm all about supporting black businesses, but this is one I def don't want any associations with...FYI:just check the reviews before you go any place or use services 🤔 of any kind..they will def prevent you from going through some of the unforgivable obstacles I have seen taken place this far.. BOY THEN THEY WERE MAD LATE...1HR LATE.. SOOO OF COURSE THE FUNERAL NOT GONE START ON TIME.... BOY AFTER WHAT I SAW TODAY.. THEY NEED TO SHUT THIS 😒 🙄 DOWN...

I don't normally leave reviews, but when the service provided is outstanding, you have to give kudos ...The NEW funeral director is someting SPECIAL( Big hair)!!!! She made My Aunt Mae JOYFUL and when Aunt Mae happy, everybody HAPPY. Aunt Mae felt like the world had been lifted off her shoulders after speaking with the staff because we knew my cousin, her nephew would be laid to rest with dignity and respect(A tropical Island vibe, he was from Hawaii). #Raymondandfriends and the Bluff Road community will most definitely stand behind & recommend this JPHOLLEY (SE) GF Rd. Branch. Oh yeah, don't 4get that Aunt Maes hotdogs (best chili in the state)would like to sponsor some hotdogs when needed.

If I could give a zero, I would for the one on Garners Ferry Rd. First, let me say the two young ladies in the front office were amazing, but the Big Hair Lady is pure awful. The day I met her in the office after my mom died, I paid upfront in full—never do that, because once that money was in her hands, I guess she thought, "Oh well.I’m done with this family, " I called Big Hair lady every day for a week before my mom's funeral, left several messages, and never got a call back, emails nothing bk, voicemail nothing , the answering service even got tired of me calling every day I just needed information about my moms arrangements , I sent in all my information for my mom’s obituary which the one young lady in the office helped me if it was not for her i really would of been doomed , my obituary’s 1/2 of them was printed incorrectly you think they fixed it nope when I looked later 1/2 of the wrong ones still was wrong which my family had to pic up off the front entrance themselves, I also had been telling them to cut a loc of my mommy hair finally got that and the only reason I know it was my moms because I could smell the dye on it I had just dyed and washed mommy hair. the day of my mom’s funeral, I was running around looking for flowers to decorate with when you’re in that state of mind—you don’t want to be doing that. I had pictures blown up and everything, dropped everything off at the office, and told them how to arrange it. The Big Hair Lady never called me back. And when I got there it still was wrong just sad. When I got to the funeral, none of my music was playing that I picked out; a matter of fact nothing was playing, we walked in to nothing playing nothing was played when my family walked in. It was just awful. I had to stop during my mom’s funeral to let the guy know what to play next.just sad i had to give him my phone to play the music just sad I had to keep stopping during my moms funeral, I have receipts, voicemails , recordings of every phone call even the answer service was like I’m so sorry no one has called you bk over the pass week I was running around looking for flowers to decorate in the church, blowing up pics I should of been grieving with my family but instead I was running around the day of my mom’s funeral, mr jp holly son called me after it was all over and just apologized that’s it nothing else which I did not expect much from him either since he allowed his staff well the Big Hair lady to not even care about what we was going through omg I Almost forgot the day of the funeral no one was in the building at all to direct anyone my friends has pictures of how every one could just walk around the whole building pure empty she just could go in every room if they could so they became the directors that day and sat my family , You only get one funeral, not a do-over. It’s taken a while for me to write this but today I was just sitting here saying dang mommy I wish I could of gave you a proper services, something me or my family will never forget as long as we live, just had to speak on this for my mom since my words or the only way to explain how my family felt during that time just sad, I’m so sorry, Mommy, that your funeral wasn’t amazing. I love you. I don’t recommend this place at all Never ever run away far if you want a great home going for your love ones never go to the one on garners ferry rd at all. Especially If the Big Hair lady helping you, just unprofessional and don’t care at all.

We were in such a horrible state because of my brothers death. Especially in the manner in which he did it. Your office on Garner Rd was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and synthetic. Felicia, who I worked with the most was so great. I want everyone to use JPHolley. They really take care of you and your loved on.
