Thank you so much for being the angel I needed just moments after finding my cat had passed away. Just 9 minutes later, I called and you were available for me to drop my Max off and begin the grieving process. You truly made a difference that day! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I am very, very happy with this service. We had 2 animals cremated there and coudnt ask for better service. The vet's office gave the wrong name of my pet to this company with one of my animals. So this company was only reading what they were sent over. We talked on the phone and they corrected it (with no problem) then and there. Sometimes the vets office sends wrong info so its best to double check name etc. We were contacted within 3 business days and had our baby back 2 days later. I highly recommend this company.
Very thankful for the service, but appalled at how it was handled! My cat passed away in August, she was brought in same day. We just got a call Friday that she was ready, picked her up today, and they spelled her name INCORRECTLY on the paw print. They never answered the phone, and then charged us $190. Save yourself the heart ache. Take your baby to Columbia pet cremation center. There is no doubt they actually care about your pet! At least they are compassionate when they slap you with the bill!
2nd EXPERIENCE, July 2022: service has gone down since my last interaction here. We had to have our 2nd dog put down & didn't hesitate to use them again after our first time was so great. Appreciate this place coordinates with the vet to pick up, so that was nice. However, 2 weeks went by and we hadn't heard anything. When I called the lady I spoke to was kind enough & apologized. When we spread the ashes a few days later, I realized we didn't get our dog back - all the paperwork said it was her, but I know it wasn't because there was a collar d-ring in the remains and we took her collar off before leaving her. This was heartbreaking, especially after paying for a "private cremation". 1st EXPERIENCE, Feb 2021: Our dog died at home late on a Friday night. We called & they were willing to meet us right then, or first thing the next morning (Saturday) - they were extremely accommodating & wanted to do what we were most comfortable with. Everyone was kind & sympathetic. Price was reasonable. And when we picked up her ashes there were a couple of lovely, touching keepsakes they created included. Highly recommend for the final care of your fur-baby!!
It is bad enough that I am having to use this type of service. However you would expect that it would be a smooth and easy process since you are already going through so much. Aug 5th 2022 I contacted Bullock Pet Cremation at 9AM to notify them where my dog was, see if they could do a personal cremation, gave my card info and more. I was told by the gentleman it would be 3 days and I would get my Kash back. Their website says 72 hours. The vet told me 72 hours. Well 4 days passed and I contacted them to get an update since I did not hear anything. The gentleman that came on the phone said he did not know what I was talking about and the person I spoke with did not know what they were talking about either. That he was only there helping them because they were short and did not have their stuff together. He said it takes a week to get your pet back. I said okay thank you. Well 1 week from Aug 5th passes and I contact them again since I have not heard anything. Upon speaking to the initial lady she transferred me to another woman who "checked" to see if there was a update. She came back and said well he only makes a trip once a week to the vet anyways so call your vet on Tuesday Aug 16th 2022 (today). I said okay well if you guys would have honored what you said then Friday Saturday and Monday would have been 3 working days for you to get him prepared and get him to me the previous Tuesday but I did not argue. Well today I contact the Vet and they said there has been no word from Bullock Pet Cremation and my Kash was not there. I then contacted Bullock Pet Cremation and spoke to a lady who was not friendly at all. She did not know that she was already transferred over to me when she was telling the other lady "I don't get why she wouldn't just call them this afternoon, so annoying." She then got on the phone with a whole attitude and said that he was on his way there, took my number and said she would tell him to call me. Honestly this has been such a headache and the fact that I am honestly concerned that I am actually going to be getting my pets ashes back and not a bunch of ashes from other dogs is concerning to me. I keep telling myself it will just be Kash but I am very skeptical. Also the fact that they do not have their stuff together and it has taken 11 days instead of 3 or even 7 is insane to me. The customer service was terrible and the people there just seemed like they were cold hearted and only really care about the money which is sad because even though it is a loss of a animal my kash was a family member and like a child. I would not even give the 1 star if I did not have to. I would not recommend them to anyone. Call and look around to find another cremation service that will actually care about you and your fur baby and have good customer service! They never once tried to make any of this right especially when I expressed my concerns about the ashes actually being him.
