Good Shepherd were true top dogs from the moment we reached out. Their compassion and professionalism shone through every step. When we lost our Beagle, Apollo, to a brain tumor after ten wonderful years, they treated him—and us—with the utmost care. They gently guided us through a heartbreaking time, helping make a painful loss a little easier to bear. It meant the world to see how deeply they cared, not just for Apollo, but for our family. This was my sixth canine companion and my wife’s first, so we’ll be taking some time before welcoming another furry family member. But if we ever need these services again, we won’t paws for a second before returning to Good Shepherd.
We recently had our cat. JD of 16 years put down and was at a total loss. We opted to have his remains cremated by Good Shepard Pet. When we were called to pick up JD ashes we went immediately to the vet. JDs ashes were in a nice wooden box as well as his paw prints. We also recieved a small bracelet and a cremation certificate. His ashes were returned very promptly. We thank you for your service God bless.
What a great service they provide for us grieving pet parents. I just used them for my dog who passed. They were so nice and compassionate to me. I highly recommend these guys. Thank you to the staff for helping me through a very difficult time. It will not be forgotten🙏🏼
My cat of 20 years passed a few weeks ago and Good Shepard handled the cremation. I called to make sure they could do a hair clipping for me to send back. The girl I spoke to seemed annoyed that I called and wasn’t very kind to begin with. But they said they could do the hair clipping and I didn’t think much of it. Until, I picked my pets ashes up and there was no hair clipping. On the label with her ashes it said there should’ve been, but they weren’t included. My vet called and I emailed and never got a response. It’s one thing if there was a misunderstanding and an apology but literally nothing? I can’t uncremate my pet and get these things now. So thanks for making an already heartbreaking situation worse. ***EDITED: Charles, the owner of Good Shepherd, reached out to me directly about what had happened which was very thoughtful and offered his sincere apologies about what had occurred, which is more than most places would do. It was very much appreciated.
They were so good to me and my dear Harley Rae who had passed away on July 6th at 9:40pm. I had her cremated by HERSELF because that was how she was. She was a Daddy's girl and passed away in his arms with us at her home. I carry her with me every day with the beautiful heart pendant I got that has a pinch of her ashes in it. We also got a paw print and a beautiful urn. They treated me so wonderful. My husband is tough guy but this broke his heart. But they made things much easier. We have 3 other dogs 1 is older and I pray she has more time. Harley Rae was a chihuahua and only 14 years old. She had a tumor and heart problems. We had the best vet best medication. But it was too soon. I still cry in morning and every night at the time she passed. I pray this gets easier. I will never take her off only to have cleaned professional.
