As one family shared: "Prior to picking up my cat’s ashes, I was given instructions on how to find the..." With a 4.
Prior to picking up my cat’s ashes, I was given instructions on how to find the location. However, between rush hour traffic and me not being familiar with the area, I did end up having a difficult time locating the correct parking lot. I called Deb for help and she was incredibly condescending over the phone. She spoke to me as if I purposely got the directions confused just to inconvenience her. I understand why she would feel frustrated, but truly, it was not my intention to get turned around. Trust me, it was already a very difficult moment so I really just wanted this experience to go smoothly. When I arrived, she hardly acknowledged me and barely even looked at me. As I’m sure you could imagine, that was an extremely emotional moment for me, so to be met with such a lack of understanding and empathy made that moment even more painful. Also, my first time handling the ashes since I received them (about one month later), I noticed a hole in the bag the ashes came in. My baby deserved better than that. Please, if you want yourself and your pet to be treated with respect, choose a different business.
we cannot say enough wonderful things about Deb and her services. we lost our dog in our home on a Sunday night. Chartiers Custom Pet Cremation was recommended to us by a friend. we reached out and Deb met us that night and was so very gentle and compassionate with us. we were in shock and grieving-she made the process simple. we felt at ease leaving our baby with her. she has been nothing but kind and caring-thank you for making this terrible loss as easy as possible for us.
we lost our 18 year old yorkie mix Callie on Friday July 11th. called Deb and she was wonderful. arranged for us to bring our baby there straight from the vets office to her. she went over all the options available to us. did an individual cremation to be returned to us in 48 hours. had the option to be there for the cremation but chose not to. picked out an urn and got a clay paw print impression. she even laid out our baby for us so we could say goodbye one final time. went back on Sunday to get her cremains. deb took some of her hair and put in in a little bag with a silk rose. she even made a little bag to put her cremains in from her blanket we brought from home. i would highly recommend using her for any pet cremations. she was very caring and wonderful to work with. after suffering the loss of our daschund 2 years earlier and using the vet to have her cremated to only find out the place they used never cremated her and dumped her body in a landfill and returned a different dogs ashes to us i will only trust someone like Deb in the future. i highly recommend her for everyone in need of such a service.
I'm not sure why there's so many good reviews of this place. When I called, Deb acted like she'd rather be doing anything else in the world than talking to me on the phone. I was literally just calling to ask if I needed to make an appointment (I've not been to this place before). Very bad customer service. Not how you should treat people who've just lost a pet. I ended up choosing a difference place.
I am still absolutely devastated by the loss of my dog, Juno. He was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and we lost him soon after and much quicker than the prognosis. He was my best friend and I would do anything for him. So when it came to making his final arrangements, I really wanted to make sure it was handled with care, compassion and trust that our dog would be handled lovingly. -- We first had to arrange for in-home euthanasia (Service provider: Lap of Love) so we called Deb and asked how her process worked and how much time notice she needed. She was able to come to our home after the arranged appointment and pick him up, which was about 24 hours after contacting her. -- Unfortunately this was during covid times, so things were handled at a distance, which is understandable, but hard during such a difficult time. -- However, from the time she arrived, to the time we got him back I know he was handled with love and care. She took great care in the transportation of him, wrapping him up to protect him. She also handmade a custom bag in the color of our choice and fur rose to accompany his remains. He had a lot of fur colors and she was able to capture all of them in the rose. Everything was so meaningful and beautiful. -- I did end up unhooking the rose from the bag to place on top of his urn. It comes attached, which is also a very nice way to display. -- Thank you for everything, Deb. We really appreciate being able to trust in your services and know that you take great pride in caring for the animals you receive and being compassionate with their parents in such a difficult time.— Also the After Care series on grief is a much appreciated bonus.
