Abbey Glen Pet Aftercare provides compassionate pet cremation and personalized memorial items to honor your pets memory. Servicing New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas.
The people at Abbey Glen were so kind to us when we tragically lost our dog in an accident. They were able to get her remains back to us very quickly, so that we could make travel arrangements to lay her to rest with our family on the other side of the state. Their memorial box for her ashes is as beautiful as she was, and they were able to get paw prints and impressions despite the circumstances. Thank you so much Abbey Glen, you are forever in our hearts for helping us to give our girl peace.
After my cat Daphne died, I made a mistake and overpaid for her aftercare items. I spoke with Paul, and he took care of everything for me. My account was refunded the next day. Paul was kind and patient and understanding, all of which I appreciated at that sad point in time. Many thanks to Paul and to Abbey Glen!
They did such a beautiful job with Benji! My vet is Pine Creek Animal Hospital and they set me up with Abbey Glen Pet memorial to have Benji cremated. Benji was my best friend and such a wonderful pet! He will be missed so much! His urn is so beautiful! Benji was 10 and very sick.
Matt Powers at Abbey Glen was so kind, caring and helpful after my Chewy’s euthanasia. I’ve used other pet cremation services over the years, Abbey, West Chester went far and beyond all of them! Thank you, Matt
This place used to be Pet Memorial Services until Abbey Glen bought them out a few years ago. They are a privately-owned New Jersey corporation with multiple locations in NJ and PA that buys up local pet aftercare businesses, jacks up prices, and partners with certain veterinarians to funnel them business. Corporate America at its finest - taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable times. In the 25 years I've been rescuing cats, my girlfriend and I had around 20 cats cremated at Pet Memorial Services, and even my largest cats never cost more than $340 for a private, attended cremation. When I called Abbey Glen earlier this week asking about cremation for my little 7 lb. Liesl I was given a price well over $600. I don't even remember what came after the '6' I was so stunned to hear the price. She told me the price would be lower if my vet was one of their 'partners' but didn't say what that would be, and it didn't matter because my vet wasn't. A quick search turned up at least two pet cremation businesses in the West Chester/Chadds Ford/Wilmington area that are locally-owned, charge about half of what this place does, and don't require your vet to be part of their little preferred provider club to get a fair price. The place I chose charged $280 total for a private attended cremation and a nice rosewood box for the ashes. There are some human funeral homes that do pet cremations that also came up in the search. There are better choices for pet cremation in this area that are truly locally-owned, charge far less, and don't have the negative reviews for botched paw prints, name-plate misspellings, and ridiculous prices that this place does. Where I went, every one of their 110 reviews was five stars. This place doesn't deserve your business.
