I had an absolutely heartbreaking experience with West Coast Pet Memorial Services. Their website and the vet’s office promised things they do not actually provide — such as visitation. Within 24 hours of my dog’s passing, I was bombarded with calls and emails to order/ pay. When I called to arrange a visitation, I was told it wasn’t offered, even though their site says otherwise. I was also told my dog would be cremated with others, separated only by a block — raising serious concerns about proper identification. Despite being told I could visit or transfer her, they picked her up immediately after my call without my consent. Her blanket was thrown away, and when I went to retrieve her, she was handed to me in a plastic bag, partially thawed, in a parking lot — with zero compassion or apology. All business was conducted in the parking lot, from remains to paw prints. Thankfully, I was able to transfer her to Family Animal Services, who treated us with compassion, respect, and dignity. They allowed us to bring meaningful items, gave us visitation, and made the process loving instead of traumatic. My advice: do not use West Coast Pet Memorial Services. If you have the choice, go to Family Animal Services — they truly care. This is just the basic on what took place there as there is more. But my review can only be so long. I dealt with Jennifer and Bailey at this company.

They were affordable, My guy was a little one. Prices for larger animals may be more. I don't know for sure. They were speedy and worked with us so we could pick him up. The urn container was free and very very nice .It came in a velvet bag. A certificate of cremation in a nice envelope on quality paper. They place the velvet bag in a quality bag with handles. Over they treated our guy with dignity. Thank you.

When it came time, I worked with my mobile vet Lap of Love to coordinate cremation with West Coast Pet Memorial Services. The services and prices were clearly communicated to me. A cremation representative followed up with an email regarding my choices, contact and pickup information. I chose to pick up Maverick myself and he was ready sooner than I had been quoted. West Coast called me to schedule a pickup time, and they were very willing to work with my schedule. The location is easy to find and the staff was friendly and kind. They took the best care of my boy while he was in their care.

Waited two weeks after payment and cremation to communicate an option that needed to take place before cremation, then did the whole “oh sorry we can’t do that for you” thing. No one tried to reach out via phone or anything. This is the kind of service you’re spending hundreds to thousands on, a service to remember pets (and family) that have been a part of your life.

About a year ago I had my beloved cat Vinz Clortho cremated through West Coast Pet Memorial Services (and also through Lap of Love home vet services.) Once he was ready for me to pick him up, I was able to see how much they honored the pets and their families. Their lobby was welcoming and quiet. I was able to pick up his ashes in a beautiful wooden urn along with a certificate of cremation, they also had a room where I could just sit and collect myself. All the folks there were incredibly respectful and gave me the time I needed to take my Vinzy home. I doubt they would remember me specifically as it was a brief moment, but I just want them to know how much it meant to me that his remains were respected and cared for. Thank you for making a really difficult time less stressful.
