Crown Cremation took over after the company our arrangements were originally made through had gone out of business. This caused a lot of confusion for us in the beginning, however, many kind people from Crown contacted us to help with all our questions and concerns. I know it sounds like a headache, having so many people contact you, but they do well keeping in touch with each other so there's little confusion, if any. My father had made his own arrangements with the other company and Crown helped in transferring everything to them. I can't speak to their abilities when you are first making arrangements, but from the beginning of what I did experience, they were very helpful. I can't honestly offer any suggestions for improvement. If I had to give just one singular example of what impressed me, it was that the urn color originally ordered was not available through Crown. They went to lengths and were able to find the one we were expecting. No additional charge. If you or a loved one are planning on cremation, you'd do well to stop by Crown Cremation Services. If you're recently bereaved and find your prior arrangements have been assumed by Crown, as in my situation, know they will treat you respectfully and do their best to help you through the experience.
During the most painful and vulnerable time—the loss of our dear lover one, we were fortunate enough to have Katelyn as our funeral director. It is impossible to overstate the profound difference her guidance, professionalism, and genuine compassion made in navigating the burial process. From the moment we first met, Katelyn approached every conversation with a perfect blend of empathy and competence. She listened intently to our wishes, ensuring that every detail, no matter how small, was handled with respect and precision. She managed all the complex logistics—she handled the preparation of our loved one seamlessly and efficiently, taking a significant burden off our shoulders. Katelyn never rushed us. She patiently explained every option, providing clarity during a time of emotional fog. Her attention to detail ensured the service was a true reflection of our loved one’s life, creating a beautiful and meaningful farewell. We highly recommend Katelyn Scott to any family in need of a compassionate, organized, and truly exceptional funeral director. She is a credit to her profession and provided us with comfort and dignity when we needed it most. Thank you, Katelyn, for your kindness and unwavering support.
My brother passed November 3rd. I had pre-purchased cremation plan with crown cremation so expected all to go smoothly. Nearly 2 months later I still await his ashes. I had a phone meeting scheduled with Katelyn and was completely stood up with no apology and no way to reach anyone from my end. The paperwork had to be resent at least four times due to errors, including them not remembering that I had already pre-purchased a plan. They are exceedingly difficult to reach and never respond to messages or texts. I am so frustrated. Nobody needs this after losing a loved one. Finally contacted state to seek assistance. Hopefully I get my brother's ashes and death certificate soon.
Don’t return phone calls. No status of cremation for over a month even with multiple inquiries. Initial pick of loved one was almost 3 hours later with no updates during wait. The person who came to pick up was very helpful, efficient, and compassionate.
I lost my brother and had Crown handle things for me. Kaitlyn was very caring and professional. But then everything fell apart. I called on a few different occasions, trying to get an update on my brother's ashes, but never could get anyone to call me back. I then drove in to the office, and was informed that the cremation order was done, but somehow didn't get communicated to the back. This is the sixth family member in 15 years with Crown. The extra frustration and mental anguish I have dealt with is inexcusable. I will not recommend this facility in the future. Finally, three weeks later, they call and I get to pickup my brother (12/05/2025). Never will use or recommend this facility again. The added emotional stress is unforgivable.
