Dr. Reeves was phenomenal to work with. We had to make the difficult decision to lay our little Void to rest, and this was the best way to do so. Dr. Reeves is compassionate and professional, as well as personable. We received a card in the mail today from Dr. Reeves and it was incredibly touching and thoughtful. If you or your family ever have to make this difficult decision, Paws at Peace is a phenomenal choice.
Thank you to Dr. Reeves for making the most unbearable decision of our lives comfortable, loving and professional for our sweet Daisy. Dr. Reeves, we feel like you are a part of our family. Daisy was a rescue Bull Terrier that we had the joy of bringing into our lives almost 17 years ago. She was very sick and we wondered if she would pull through. Well, she did! And made it a very long time, for her breed. She was our entire world and we could not have gotten through this easily without you. Her body held on as long as it possibly could. It was just time and we knew she was in pain. We couldn't imagine having to take her away from our home. She passed peacefully in her sleep here at home in her comfy bed surrounded by loved ones. We are truly blessed to have found you. Sincerely, Andrew and Jennifer Binkley
Dr. Reeves is a godsend. He was extremely empathetic, professional and caring. We really appreciated that he worked with us to get Abby relief the day after we called because she emergently couldn’t get up without severe pain and dysfunction of her leg after battling osteosarcoma for months. By him coming to our house, we were able to say goodbye to her in her own bed, eating out of her own bowl with her canine sisters at ease instead of trying to pick up a 98 lb dog into and out of a vehicle and causing more distress. It means the world that he worked with us on the time so I could get home from work to be there too. If you’re in this spot, I’m sorry, but call him for the sake of your pet.
I cannot praise Dr. Reeves highly enough. He made the terrible experience of saying goodbye to our girl Scout as peaceful and kind as it could possibly be. He was so gentle and caring with her, and also so gentle and caring with us, her humans. He talked us through the procedure and talked with us about her life. He gave us all of the time that we needed and didn’t make anything feel rushed. Paying for him to come to your home might cost slightly more than going into your vets office, but the peace and comfort it provided was worth every single penny (and honestly was well priced considering the service). If you’re even considering his services for at home euthanasia, you don’t need to look any further, he’s the best.
Dr. Reeves came to our house on short notice to help us say goodbye to our cat, Minnie, who was suffering from cancer. She had been with us for 14 years, so saying goodbye was not at all easy. However, Dr. Reeves' compassion, empathy, and professionalism made the whole experience more bearable. He said a beautiful prayer for Minnie, and she looked so peaceful in her sunny spot on the couch in those final moments that I knew we were doing the right thing in ending her suffering. My husband and I had gone back and forth about doing in-home euthanasia or going to the vet, but I am so glad we chose to have Dr. Reeves come to our house. I highly recommend his services to anyone in the unfortunate position to need them.
