Did a awesome job on my girl Misty, great place you would know you're baby is taken care of. Got my cremations back in one week. I would recommend them.

Two years ago when my dad passed I would have given 5 stars. This year my mom passed and it has been a different story. Robert misspelled my mom's name on the paperwork, then corrected it in front of us. I assumed based on that her name on her obituary would be correct, but it wasn't. I sent an email and asked for it to be fixed, with no response. We picked out a large urn and 4 mini urns and he said someone would call when everything was ready for pickup. Three weeks went by and so I called. Robert said my mom was ready for pickup. I drove from Norman to Shawnee and when I got there he had a large urn and one small urn. I reminded him that we needed 4 small urns, so he said he would have to order them. He had no reason why no one had called me to tell me she was ready. He said they would order 3 more small urns and have someone deliver them when they were ready.While I was there I reminded him that her name was still not spelled correctly on the obituary. Fast forward 2 more weeks and I had not heard anything. So I called and she is ready, but he could not remember how many small urns or that he told me he would have them delivered. He did say the small urn we picked out was no longer available so picked something for us and he would have the large urn and 4 small urns delivered. Mom's name still had not been fixed, so I reminded him about that as well. Just received mom's ashes and we have 5 mini urns, I guess more is better than not enough? But the urns he picked out are not close to what we wanted and are not something my mom would like. At this point I guess I am just happy her name was fixed on the obituary and I finally have her home. I really like the aquamation but i am really disappointed in the service that was provided.

This place truly cares and does a wonderful job. They went above and beyond for my grandfathers funeral and made sure everything went as planned. The way they honored him was exactly how he would have wanted. My family and I have nothing but good things to say about this experience. Thank you from the Heaths.

At Gaskell-Owens Funeral Home downtown I knew Robert and his dad were great, well respected gentlemen. I met Mike there, as well, prior to the funeral home being sold. Each of the gentleman are still the caring compassionate individuals I remember from a short 20 years ago. I recommend Mcelyea and Owens for your funeral, cremation memorial needs.
