So Loved: Pet Cremation by Water - Aquamation: Chapel Hill & Mebane North Carolina

Veronica and Hunter with So Loved Pets were wonderful to interact with during one of the hardest times of our life. I had never heard of water cremation before and was desperately looking for someone to pick our beloved dog up on a Saturday after he was laid to rest on a Friday. Lap of Love offered to take him immediately after euthanasia, but I was not comfortable with that. I wanted to give him time to fully transition in his crate at our house. I found So Loved Pets when they agreed to come pick up his remains on a Saturday morning when nobody else would. I then learned about water cremation, which I never knew existed, along with the environmentally friendly green burial options they offer. From the first point of contact through picking up the remains of our beloved dog, they were amazing. I’m unbelievably grateful to have found them. I’ve already told many people about them and plan to share their information with many more people. The services they provide are unique in the industry and something I know many people would like to know exist as alternatives to embalming and poisoning the Earth as your last act on this planet or contributing more greenhouse emissions in the fire cremation process. Thank you again for all of your kindness and for expanding my knowledge on alternatives to embalming and fire cremation.

Sounds weird to say that a cremation experience was positive, but So Loved Pets absolutely made it a really lovely and peaceful part of Tazzie’s life. Their staff was respectful and thoughtful, without any of the fake smarmy niceness that you often encounter in death adjacent businesses. Their space feels like visiting a tasteful art gallery, and they have so many options for memorializing beloved pets in a way that feels just right to their people. I love that their process is quick and environmentally friendly, and it is absolutely what I would choose for humans or pets. No one looks forward to losing a beloved pet, but So Loved Pets does absolutely everything in their power to make the experience a positive memory. Tazzie was a beloved sanctuary Dane; Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love ensured that he lived out his life with the best of comfort and care we could give him after his owner passed away, and that he had a peaceful death and cremation when we could no longer keep him comfortable. He was very much a beloved community dog, and So Loved Pets was so gracious about portioning his cremains into more than one urn, with custom tags for each since we all had our own nicknames for him. I cannot recommend any provider of these services as highly as this one - they are truly an amazing service provider and we are so fortunate to have them available in our area.

Although it was not unexpected, losing our beloved dog has been so painful - fortunately the warm folks at So Loved have made this challenging event so much easier. From our first contact, we could tell that they truly care about their customers and have a deep respect & appreciation for life transitions. I recommend So Loved without hesitation.

If I could give them 1000000000 stars I would. Veronica and Hazel especially Hazel was so so kind to me and helped me with everything and answered any questions I had. They took beautiful care of sweet boy Lucifer and the price was so so affordable I could cry. They gave little gifts like paw prints and nose prints for no charge and you have no idea how much that meant to me. Highly highly UPMOST highly recommend and respected.
