While no one looks forward to working with a funeral home, when a loved one passes we do look for comfort. And comfort and compassion and professional excellence are what my family experienced working with John Dengler and team. Thank you for guiding us along this difficult journey that was as beautiful as could be in your expert hands.
My family has been coming to this funeral home my whole life for everyone we have known who has unfortunately passed away. They usually do a good job but yesterday for my grandpas funeral it was a very poor experience unfortunately due to the staff. A staff member by the name of Mark Janik tried to throw my brother, who was closest to my grandpa, out of the viewing room even though he was immediate family. My brother explained to him that he was immediate family and Mark still tried to make him leave. When my uncle stepped in and told him my brother was allowed to be there, Mark walked away for a moment and then came up to my brother again and told him he had to leave, even though he had every right to be there and was wanted there by the whole family. Mark didn’t come up to anyone else and try to make them leave even though other grandkids were in there. He just kept attacking my brother who was finally allowing himself to grieve. He came up to my brother again now threatening him that it was private property insinuating he was going to throw him out. This ruined the whole day for my family as our grief was turned into anger. A funeral director is supposed to make you feel comforted and supported during such a hard time. Now my family is dealing with this drama all because of this funeral director. Havoc tends to happen during or after funerals but it should never be cause by a funeral director. My grandpa also served in the Korean War and had a military ceremony performed that we didn’t even get to see. The funeral directors had us sit inside facing the opposite direction of the gunshots and salutes that were meant to honor my grandfather. This was the only thing my family was looking forward to seeing the whole day and it was taken away from us. My family is so hurt from this situation and we will never be using this funeral home again.
John has done an exceptional job for me and I am very grateful they made it extremely easy. John Bardo was wonderful. Definitely well suited for his job thank you John. I don’t have one complaint everything went smoothly as I could’ve hoped. God bless you all.
