Best Friends Pet Passings + Cremations

We were recently traveling from out of state over Christmas when our beloved old dog who was traveling with us unexpectedly passed away. We were frantic to find a local service, and Best Friends looked like the best fit. As a veterinarian myself, I was blown away by the compassionate care and professionalism my husband and I received from Aubrey. They answered our call right away, got us in immediately, and made sure our arrival was private and caring. And to our surprise our dog’s ashes made it back to us very quickly with the most beautiful keepsakes. Please don’t hesitate to use this company to help memorialize your precious pet. I recently entrusted Best Friends with the cremation of my beloved German Shepherd Nikki. I couldn’t be more grateful for the compassion and professionalism they showed during such a difficult time. I contacted them on a Sunday and wasn’t expecting to speak to anyone since they were closed. I just wanted to start the process come Monday. I was surprised to receive a call back from Aniko minutes later. From that moment, she was genuinely empathetic and understanding, treating my dog’s passing with the dignity and care she deserved. She walked me through every step with patience and clarity, ensuring I felt supported and informed throughout the process. The level of thoroughness and attention to detail was truly outstanding. I never felt rushed or overlooked—only cared for. Losing a pet is heartbreaking, but Best Friends made this part of the journey a little easier. I’m deeply thankful for their kindness and the respect they showed to both me and my OL Gal Nikki. I highly recommend them to anyone needing these services.

Sweetie the Hutt lived a great life. His original momma passed away years ago and we took him into our family to let him live his best life. He was a super fat cat that loved life, enjoyed sitting on laps and being petted. He moved from Iowa to New Mexico without complaint. He loved treats and did not really like the dog to lick him… but it happened. He was approximately 17 years old, even though we said he was 15… because he came to us when my son needed him most so they shared a birthday. Sweetie… you will be missed so much. When we brought Sweetie home from Best Friends, my son was overcome with emotions. He said, this is so so much better than I ever thought it could be as he held the little set of paw prints. We will be sending a bit of Sweetie’s hair back to Iowa to be placed with his original momma at her final resting place. I know that as he crossed that rainbow bridge, she was waiting right there for him with open arms! Thank you Best Friends!

Most of all I would like to thank Aubrey for being the most compassionate person towards the loss of my fur baby. She was patient, understanding, a great listener and beyond kind. My fur baby was handled with such care. The care and love put into my fur baby's keepsakes are unmatched. Thank you all to those who helped. You all are amazing. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone if they ever experience such a loss. Thank you again.

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!! They mixed my daughters pet with some other dog and went ahead and cremated him and tossed his ashes like he was nothing. I literally got mad at the lady and showed her the paper work of what needed to be done. She kept saying she was sorry but I'm not wanting her apologies. Even the vet clinic and myself had proof what needed to be done. Her apologies mean nothing. I literally yelled at her. She can't undo the heartbreak my daughter had to go through or my family. We lost our dog because of her.
