Riotto Funeral Home has shown our family exceptional professionalism, compassion, and care during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Although my father’s cremation is scheduled to take place after the New Year holiday, the care and support we have already received has been truly meaningful. Richard, in particular, took the time to explain every step of the process with patience, kindness, and incredible attention to detail. He made sure we understood everything and never made us feel rushed, which brought a great deal of comfort during an emotional moment. We were also deeply touched by their thoughtfulness in arranging for a priest to come and bless my father, allowing my brother the opportunity to see him one last time. That act of compassion meant more to our family than words can express. Riotto Funeral Home has treated my father—and our family—with dignity, respect, and genuine humanity. From the very beginning, Adam Chamberlain, the Funeral Director, guided me through the entire process with compassion, professionalism, and patience. Adam took the time to explain every detail, making sure I understood each step and that my wishes were respected. His kindness and understanding made an unbearable situation more manageable. When dealing with the death of a loved one, it can be hard to know how to proceed while feeling so emotional. I feel extremely lucky that I found Riotto's and Adam. When I met him in person at the lovely funeral home, and saw how tenderly he had displayed my mother, I knew I could trust Adam and the staff. Even though he probably gets calls from strangers everyday, Adam shows genuine care and compassion for what the other person is going through. Whether by phone or email, he was always kind and patient. He told me that he would do everything in his power to make this process as easy as possible for me, and he truly did. I live in California and Adam was able to help me understand the timing of viewing the body, cremation and paperwork. He took whatever time I needed on the phone, to answer my questions about options, MediCaid, costs and other details that someone in shock and grieving might not know to ask, while planning from afar. The obituary page that Adam created was so beautiful it brought me and my husband to tears. The other folks at the funeral home are as equally kind and helpful. Of note, my rental car had a tire that was quite low on air, and I asked for directions to a gas station with a reliable air pump as I was leaving after picking up my mother's ashes. They mentioned a station nearby, but then asked me to hold on a moment, and went to ask another staff something. They had a portable air pump there and would meet me in the lot at my car to help inflate my tire. That tells you exactly what kind of folks are working there, ones who will take an extra ten minutes of their time to step out in the cold afternoon to help put some air in your tires. It is a skill to be so professional, sincere and warm at the same time. Adam and everyone at Riotto's are amazing humans, and I know my mother would have appreciated everything too.
