Smart Cremation

Smart Cremation is amazing! They make things so simple and easy. You will have no worries after you get your plan. The prices are the most reasonable around and their credibility is impeccable. My mother and I both have plans with them and they beat all the other companies. Also, the representative Eric Black was the most kind hearted and knowledgeable spokesperson I have met. Made us feel so comfortable and had a great time during the presentation. I feel confident my son will thank me for choosing Smart Cremation!

My husband, Donald Atkinson died at home under Hospice care on Thanksgiving morning. We had purchased cremation packages through Smart Cremation when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer in September. They walked me through what the procedure would be when the time came. When he passed, I called the Hospice nurse who came right to the house and pronounced him. She filled out all the proper paperwork for the death certificate. She contacted Smart Cremation and gave them Don's contract number. Within the hour they came and got him. They were very professional and respectful of the situation which I appreciated. Taeya Havens, the funeral director for Don's Cremation contacted me throughout the month to keep me informed of the status of his Cremation, She contacted me the day before I received his ashes to let me know they were on the way. Also was very timely with the death certificates. Not one time during the procedure did I feel neglected or ignored. I was kept up to date the whole time and every time they contacted me, they made sure I was doing OK. I highly recommend Smart Cremation to anyone considering Cremation for themselves or a loved one. Brittaney helped us transfer cremation services from one crematorium to Simple Cremation when the other went out of service. There was no additional cost involved and the services chosen were the same as we originally had. We were happy that Brittaney was so organized, went through all the paperwork so that we could understand each item involved, and did it with concern for our needs. If the actual cremation service is indeed as Simple as the transfer of services has been, we will have Brittaney with Simple Cremation to thank. She kept it respectfully clear and Simple.

My parents signed up with Smart Cremation and I was the one who dealt with them at each of their deaths. We dealt with the California office and the Nevada office for my Dad, then Mom. Both experiences were terrible as far as communication from them. If I wasn’t calling, texting, or emailing them I heard nothing. If I hadn’t hounded the CA office I wouldn’t have had a clue when my Dad’s urn would have been delivered. The NV office had my Mom’s death certificates for who knows how long before they sent them to me after another inquiry by me. Terrible customer service! A positive is that they did respond to the home for my dad (hospice) and the hospital for my mom in a timely manner and the person that arrived at each was caring and professional. They even brought a flag to drape my dad’s body, a Veteran. When we went to pick up my Mom’s ashes they were in a cardboard box, instead of the wooden one she paid for, and we were thankful they had one on hand to transfer them to as we finally had the urn available less than 12 hours from the Celebration of Life. My parents purchased the contracts but I would not recommend this company.

Representative must have been in a bad mood unless this is his personality. ALL of us attendees agreed that he was rude, tacky and not grateful for our 3k business. Must had a bad day, that's the only explanation I can figure. Comparable to Bunker Mortuary prices but it was convenient for me.
