I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Dr. Goldman and Nevada Pet Hospice for making the worst day of my life more bearable. The end for Kailea after 15 years came on very quick and I am so thankful that Dr. Goldman was willing to come to our home on short notice to help her find peace. He explained everything to us so kindly and calmly while my heart was breaking, and allowed us our time to say goodbye at our own pace. The woman who set up our appointment (I believe it was Emily, but I was falling apart so I truly apologize if I am getting your name wrong) was also so sweet when I called. She realized the urgency and took the time to reach out to Dr. Goldman because they didn’t have any appointments available for the day. I am just so thankful for what you did for us.
Making the decision to let our precious boy Toby go was the hardest and we struggled. Everyone at Nevada Pet Hospice was so kind and supportive. I spoke to them on the phone as I was struggling to make the decision and then had an in-home hospice visit that helped us come to terms with it being time for our boy. Letting him go peacefully at home before a crisis hit was the best decision for us and our dog. Dr Nunez was fantastic - she knew what to say, could read the room perfectly and made the whole process as bearable as it could be. The cremation and return of cremains was also handled efficiently and sensitively. We miss our boy so much but I am at peace with knowing his end was a good one. Thank you to everyone at Nevada Pet Hospice.
My family had the great privilege to have known our beloved dachshund Sam for 13 years. He was formally diagnosed with liver and colon cancer on 6-17-25. His greatest pleasure in life was playing with his orange Chuckitball. We had him on medications, but they only took the edge off of his pain. He was no longer playing anymore or experiencing any joy. My husband and I called Nevada Pet Hospice to do an at-home euthanasia. We did not want to traumatize our baby by taking him to a vet (which he was always frightened by) and putting him down there. We wanted Sam to be at home, surrounded by his loving family, in his warm bed, as he passed. Dr. Carolina Nunez was nothing short of exceptional, compassionate, and empathetic to our families' needs. It was one of the most precious moments of my life. Dr. Nunez took the time to explain everything that would happen and what effect it would have on Sam. She took the time to listen to our concerns, answering all of our questions. This put our family at ease. The process that Nevada Pet Hospice uses for at-home euthanasia is highly respectful, thoughtful, and humane. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Carolina Nunez and Nevada Pet Hospice to take care of terminally ill furry family members. I want to recognize Natalie (staff), who handled questions early on and answered all of our questions with compassion. Thank you again, Dr. Nunez, Natalie, and Nevada Pet Hospice for giving our Sam peace. We will never forget our sweet, passive Sam. Although we are heartbroken, we know we did the right thing by him.
Dr. Toby Goldman was an angel that visited my home and helped my baby Nina transition peacefully. His calm manner and counseling assisted both Nina and myself so that we were both relaxed and calmed down. It was a painless and beautiful transition. I am so glad I called them to help during this difficult time. I was equally impressed with Dr. Allysa Watson when she assisted my other baby Boyd in August 2023. This is an excellent organization and they work for a noble cause. Thank you both
Dr. Goldman and his staff were wonderful when we were faced with the challenging issue of saying goodbye to our wonderful golden retriever. He and Natalie were both genuine, compassionate, practical, professional and concerned - not only for our dog, but for us as well. Their support and understanding were just what we needed. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
