Tdy 12/19/2025, went to decorate for christmas our 3 family members area who has been at Davis since 2005 & 2006. Like for the past 20 yrs, we have ALWAYS put a little wooden fence up. A ground keeper came and said we couldn't put the fence up because the groundskeepers wouldn't be able to cut the grass properly. He also stated this has always been the rule. I told him we've been doing it for 20 yrs and we've never been told anything. So why now? You ruined everything for us, our day our holiday our parents & brother's love of Christmas. For 20 yrs we have watched this place go down hill. Trees have died, grass (if u can call it that) is dying. Flower cups have been taken twice, never being replaced. When we've called about that have been told nothing can be done. As for grass cutting, you can care less. You don't cut, you butcher it along with the headstones and anything on them you run your machines over with. Once you get peoples money, you don't care about what happens after if it doesn't benefit you. The money is all you care about. We paid for the plots and as long as we're not infringing on other plots we should be able to decorate as we please. Groundskeeping? WHAT A JOKE!! And while your at it, try watering more and correctly. Maybe it'll turn green, like grass should look.
I’m writing this review because my family’s recent experience was deeply disappointing. When my brother was killed in a hit and run accident, he was sent to Davis Funeral Home from the corner without our knowledge. When we got there we were hoping for compassion and support. Instead, we found a lack of empathy at every turn. We were not allowed to see him AT ALL and we were told we WOULD NOT be able to view my brother’s body without an appointment, and it felt like we were being charged for every single request. This is an incredibly difficult time for any family, and the lack of compassion we experienced was really upsetting. I hope they consider how to treat grieving families with more care in the future. I would NOT recommend anyone going here for any services regarding their loved ones. Truly awful experience.
Our family’s experience with David’s Funeral Home was extremely disappointing and distressing. After my niece passed away, the police brought her there. We did not select them for services, yet we were charged over $3,000 simply for holding her body. Poor communication: Staff were unclear and unhelpful throughout. When we asked about the fees, the representative, Maria, unexpectedly brought up cremation something we had never requested or mentioned. This left us feeling pressured and confused at a time when we needed compassion and clarity. Excessive fees: The charges for merely holding a body were unreasonable and added financial stress during an already painful time. Families in grief should not be burdened with surprise costs or feel taken advantage of. Delays and lack of cooperation, They held my niece’s body far longer than necessary. When the mortuary we actually chose came to pick her up, David’s Funeral Home gave them a hard time, even though we had already paid a week earlier. This unnecessary obstruction prolonged our suffering and delayed the respectful transfer we had arranged. Lack of accountability: When we questioned their practices, staff told us we could call the mortuary Better Business Bureau. This response felt dismissive and unprofessional, as grieving families deserve genuine support—not deflection.Overall experience: This situation caused unnecessary hardship for our grieving family. Funeral homes should provide compassion, transparency, and professionalism. Unfortunately, David’s Funeral Home failed to meet those standards. We hope they reconsider their practices so that no other family has to endure what we went through.
Perhaps this is a sad visit like any other cemetery you visit. However, it does bring peace. The street is not looking good but once you enter the cemetery, the area is perfectly clean and bright. Many of these people who were buried here were families and friends, including pets and unborn babies, which is absolutely tragic in every level. I have no family members buried here. If you miss them so much, hear me on this: you WILL see them again when your time has passed.
The people at Davis were exceptionally attentive and empathetic to my family's situation. Julie McCall was patient, kind, and accommodating. I know it's inevitable that a loved one passes, and may that be a long time from when you read this - but I highly recommend Davis as your Funeral Home of choice if you're in their area.
