Cremation Society of Nevada - Northern Nevada

We live in Michigan and it was my cousin’s request that we carry out his end of life wishes. He wished to be cremated and did not care where the ashes were spread. He was proud of his military service and my wife suggested he be interred at the Nevada VA cemetery in Fernley like her own father was in Michigan We really had no idea how this was to be handled. We called several cremation facilities in the Northern Nevada area and after much discussion settled on Nevada Cremation Society. They seemed kind, concerned, and did not have a hard sell. They informed us exactly what everything was going to cost and the end of life process seemed very reasonable. They turned out to be wonderful. Lisa, the woman who guided us through the process took care of so many things and extended herself in so many ways. The process felt good. Joyce Allen was a joy and angel to work with. My relative recently passed and because we are from out of town, we had to move quickly with decisions about cremation vs casket, etc. This business was very transparent, costs are on the website as well as shown to you upfront. They also had additional information on their website about writing an obituary, and steps in the process. They follow Nevada State Laws and have their own crematorium. They disclose everything to you so you know what is going on and when. I felt 100% comfortable and safe with them. I knew my relative would be treated with respect and dignity.

This is one of the few businesses out there that truly offer great customer support. Pricing was competitive, but more importantly they were kind, informative & helped every step of the way. I truly appreciate how Joyce listened to me on the phone and understood our difficult situation. Some of the family didn't understand why I didn't choose the 'cheapest' cremation company. Her kindness is why I chose this company. I knew my father would be in good hands. I'm sad I live in Southern California but you can bet the next time I'm in the area I will stop by just to give her a hug! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!

My dad was prepared. He did all the things needed to do before he passed. Lisa was amazing, she went above and beyond.
