I really had a great experience in going to Nebraska Humane Society. The building is so clean and modern and the staff are super nice. On the day I was going to get my deer faced Chihuahua puppy, I went to the back, where all the doggos were in really nice glass panes. My 4 legged friend was happy to see me. We went to the backroom and they brought the puppy, it was so exciting to see how happy the puppy was. Afterwards the service was smooth and I am for sure scheduling dog training classes in there because the staff left a good impression on me!
Adopted Miso (formerly Green Tea) about six weeks ago, and I just wanted to share that she’s doing amazing! She’s much more playful and curious now that she has her own space. I first met her on a Saturday, about an hour before closing, and knew she was the one. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the process, answering any questions I had. I’m glad they suggested filling out the adoption form online ahead of time because when I arrived right at opening the next day, I was able to meet with the advisor and Miso almost immediately. The whole experience was very smooth and there are so many adorable cats I wish I could take more home! 💜
I already had the animal picked out that I wanted when I went in and picked it up. It's took an extremely long time to get in and out. They are extremely clean and keep the animals very clean. I noticed a couple animals had upper respiratory infection but they must have come in that way because the kennels are cleaned daily. This was probably the cleanest Humane Society or animal shelter I've ever been to I love that it stays clean so the animals stay as healthy as possible.
We adopted (Shea) now Kaia a little over a week ago. NHS did a great job vetting us as owners and being transparent about how much they knew or how little they knew about each animal. Very thorough in educating and communicating. We had a pleasant experience with our first time adopting our dog from NHS. Kaia is living her best life while also testing the security of our backyard fence 😂
got my sweet cat from here more than year ago and I can say that this cat makes me happy every day, planning to get him a friend tomorrow:)
