Very pleased with the services of Alternative! Although Ken, funeral director, sounds a bit business-like on the phone, meeting him in person was a warm experience. Before my husband passed, he said he wanted to be buried in a box and buried quickly. No frills. So, I purchased a pine box casket online, and bought an "Immediate Burial" from Alternative. Ken did not pressure me into buying anything extra. I am so glad he had that courtesy of being honest and no pressure in the midst of an emotional time! I simply had the casket put in the hole at the cemetery before my family got there. No hurst cost. No pallbearers. Just funeral director, my preacher, a few family members were present. I bought flowers from the grocery store, put them in a bucket of water, and after the preacher spoke we each threw a flower in the hole, on top of the coffin. A simple burial service for a simply beautiful man, my husband. A month after the burial service we had a Gone2Glory Celebration at my church. Alternative Funeral was the best price I found and Ken, my director, didn't look at me weird for requesting a simple no-nonsense burial. I am so grateful!!

This company helped me during my grandmother's departure 5/16. Everything went smoothly the even give you small gifts with your purchase or cremation. Only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because I asked for the battery in my love ones pacemaker (something he said could happen in our initial meeting) he wrote it down and I'm assuming filed it. I come to pick up everything because I had them fill multiple keepsakes and urns which was also amazing for them to do but the battery wasn't given to me. It was forgotten and instructions weren't followed. It really hurt my feelings to not receive it we made a small keeps sake box and I was excited to get it. I'm so disappointed because this is something we can never get back.

Philip was very kind and understanding.. The final price was very reasonable. Some miscommunication but resolved quickly. Under stressful circumstances, they were appreciated
