Heartland Pet Cremation

When one of my favorite chickens, Chewbawka (aka Chewie), passed unexpectedly this year after seven years of raising her, I was heartbroken. She was such a special hen with a huge personality and the first chick my husband selected for me. I never had a pet cremated before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. St. Louis Heartland Pet Cremation and their staff were wonderful letting me know about the cremation process and the different fees based on the animal’s weight. I appreciated that their cremations are private, so you can be sure you’re receiving only your pet’s ashes. Setting up the appointment was simple, and the staff were kind and courteous when we dropped off Chewie’s body. Within a few days I got a call that Chewie was ready to be picked up. Heartland had taken some feather clippings and did a beak impression placed in a keepsake bag to remember her by, which was sweet and much appreciated. The staff were extremely kind during pickup as well. I highly recommend Heartland Pet Cremation to those looking to cremate their fur, feathered, or scaly loved ones. They are extremely professional, have excellent communication, and work with compassion and empathy. Thank you, Heartland, for making a difficult and emotional time a bit more simple.

Sad occasion but the treatment of my pet Serena was treated with care and compassion. John, who I communicated with was very informative by constant communication, caring, kind and provided me with heartfelt words about how he could tell my dog lived a good life with me. The process of picking up my dog didn't take much time from my first phone call I had to make. For such a difficult and painful time for me, I could sense I chose the right business to take my dog and treat her with the best care.

My cat, Butch, died this time last year unexpectedly. I was very sad and broken from his sudden death. When I called Heartland Pet Cremation, they provided so much support through this time. John was very understanding and supportive when I was figuring out this whole process. I’m so grateful and appreciative for them, and for the sentimental items I have in honor of Butch’s life provided by Heartland. They really do care and want to make this difficult time a bit easier.

I’m posting this review on behalf of my mother. We brought our beloved pet Lola to Heartland Pet Cremation after recommendations from friends and reading great reviews. It was a very stressful time for our family, but John made the whole process so easy and assured us that he would take care of Lola. We got her back the next day, and are so thankful. I would highly recommend this place!

We unfortunately had my son’s kitten pass on a Saturday and heartland was so quick and easy! We took our boy down to them saturday night and they were so compassionate and on Tuesday I received a call to come pick him up. They are so affordable and the little paw print and fur clipping is an amazing touch. I definitely recommend them to anyone.
