While the ladies who took phone calls were helpful and kind, I found the General manager, David Cash at the Livonia officeto be anything but helpful. He didn’t attend to details, communicated poorly,was impatient and dismissive. I had to track him down to get updates on my loved ones ashes. Definitely don’t recommend.

Sadly, they did not honor our contract. They still owe us/family funds for memorial services that were prepaid for. They collected the funds from the trust/title and kept the funds rather than disperse them upon agreed terms. No returned phone calls, no response to letters. I do not recommend them for this reason.

I've just been dealing with this organization for a few days since mom died. They don't seem organized. I have to make multiple calls and wait for calls back for every step of the process. But, they were happy to take my money - that part they made very easy. I'm having trouble getting the information I need and that's frustrating when already dealing with a loved-one's passing. *** Editing to a 1 star. Today I was again told I would get a call back. No call back. Had to send the obituary 4 times to their AOL email. Finally got ahold of someone who is not the person who deals with obituaries and the person who does called in sick. No one can tell you anything but, again, they will take your credit card info in a flash.

Place is over priced!! $3900 for cremation lmao Generations price $895.00 Generations funeral service is better option.

Not a reputable business. Here is my experience: TIMELINE OF DEALINGS WITH CREMATION SOCIETY OF MICHIGAN 5/28/2024 Initial call to Cremation Society of Michigan. Told can apply online. Did so with credit card payment of $70.00 membership fee for my wife and myself. Told certificate of registration and wallet-size membership cards would be mailed within 2-4 weeks. 7/5/2024 Second call: had not received certificate or registration nor wallet-size membership cards. Told would be in the mail right away. 8/6/2024 Third call: had still not received certificate or registration nor wallet-size membership cards. Told they would be mailed immediately. Said I would stop by and pick them up the next day; was given the Livonia address where they could be picked up. 8/7/2024 Stopped at the Cremation Society of Michigan Livonia office to pick up documents. No documents left for pick up. While we waited, wallet-size membership cards were typed and given us, but no certificate of registration. Told it would be addressed. 8/8/2024 Fourth call, asking what was going to happen about the Certificate of Registration. Told it would be mailed. 8/19/2024 Fifth call: no Certificate of Registration received. 8/20/2024 Sixth call, requesting verification of membership registration. Not able to verify. Requested refund of $70.00. Told a check would be mailed by end of week. 9/9/2024 Seventh call, no refund check received. Was told check had been issued, but no information provided as to if and when check had been mailed.
