I cannot express enough gratitude to Shannon and Joe for the compassion and care they showed during one of the most heartbreaking moments of our life. When we lost our beloved cat, Turkey, after 18 years together (he was 21), we were devastated. Petrichor treated both him and me (and my husband) with such gentleness and respect. They allowed us to personally place Turkey into the chamber before the aquamation process began—a quiet, sacred moment that meant the world to us. They never rushed us and they understood what he meant to us, and they held that space with real kindness. The entire process was handled with professionalism and grace. From communication to the return of his remains, everything was done with the utmost care. We were so grateful to have found them when we needed a place that truly honors the bond between humans and their animals. Saying goodbye to our pets can be hard enough so we searched out the best care for our Sadie in her final journey as well as aftercare. Petrichor was recommended to us, we could not have been happier with our choice to go with them. The phone calls, our visit, emails, and after correspondence were all kind, never rushed. Sadie was an amazing, gentle, sweet dog and deserved the very best at home end of life care. The box we received back with her remains is beautiful! She is home. I feel she was well taken care of with the same respect we would have given to her ourselves. Thank you, Petrichor, we appreciate you.

We cannot express enough gratitude we have for Dr. Kim. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put down our golden girl at just 1.5 years old due to chronic kidney disease. It all happened so fast, and Dr. Kim made herself available on a Saturday evening in November since we weren’t sure if Holly would make it through the night. She came in with a calm, warm demeanor and handled the process with such patience and empathy. We will forever be grateful to her for handling our baby with such loving care. It was the hardest day of our life but having someone next to us with compassion and understanding made it bearable. If I could give Petrichor 6 stars, I would! During such a painful time, working with Shannon & Joe for the aftercare of our beloved baby, Bo, was the little light that kept us going in the dark days after his passing. Knowing that he was in such loving, dedicated hands, brought us so much peace. On the day we brought him in to be aquamated, Joe was kind enough to honor my wishes and gave me a tour of the entire process. Seeing the process and being guided through exactly what would be happening helped me to feel connected to my sweet kitty & provided healing in processing his loss. I simply can’t recommend Petrichor enough. If you are looking for an environmentally conscious, natural, sustainable, personal and intimate experience with the aftercare of your pet after their loss, this is the place for you. In a moment of extreme grief, I was introduced to Shannon and Joe at Petrichor. Emanuela and I brought our beloved Cora to their facility where we felt like we were in a welcoming neighbor's home rather than a business.Their explanation was thorough, nothing was rushed and we knew we were in the presence of people who embraced the love between human and animal.The attention to detail for Cora and her remains was exceptional as was the kindness that accompanied it. One of the great things about Petrichor is that they accept animals large and small.
