My dad Ronald Johnson passed away on 11/28/2025. Casper funeral home made it an easy process to put my dad to rest. They allowed me to see him before his cremation, which was very important to me. Cremation was affordable and they was able to ship my dad to remains to me, due to me living in North Carolina.Sorry it took me so long to leave a review, but I would choose and recommend them to anyone.
After searching around five different funeral homes from Rockland to Weymouth to Quincy, I discovered Casper funeral services in South Boston years ago. When a friend was had services there. When I called them, I was received with courtesy respect, and a little bit of heart. All of the other funeral homes I contacted. I felt like I was getting the sales job, they wanted me to make an appointment to come in. They wouldn’t tell me how much it cost. They wanted to email me information they made it so damn difficult. There was no heart … when I get the opportunity to speak with Ken Casper, the son of Joe, who originally started this funeral home who unfortunately was recently killed in a car accident. God bless the Casper family, but nevertheless Ken had heart he took the time he answered every question, he provided us with guidance and he took INTREST in our wishes . He treated us with respect not only a a sale! I’ve also had people in my life that have been cremated through their funeral services and I have to say every person I’ve ever dealt with has been held with upmost respect and especially during those difficult times of dealing with ones death or the death of a loved one they’re the perfect funeral services to go to .. I would go nowhere else, only Casper. By the way my daughter burried her dad and was out of state? And the ease and comfort of knowing the Casper took care of everything until she came into town was especially endearing
I could not speak more highly of Dave, Greg and the team at Casper! They made such a difficult time so easy for us to handle, and they did everything they could to make sure my mother's services were perfect and all her wishes were honored. Couldn't recommend them enough.
I pre-arranged services with Casper for my father years ago, and when he recently passed, I was deeply grateful we chose them. They handled everything — transportation, a private farewell viewing, cremation, and helped us select a beautiful urn and mementos. The staff was consistently respectful, professional, and compassionate. Dave, one of the owners, personally guided us through the process with care and never made us feel rushed, even though the funeral home was busy. The atmosphere is peaceful and comforting, with muted decor that helps you focus on your loved one. Communication was seamless, and pricing was very fair for the high quality of service. Having worked with many funeral homes in my former profession, I can confidently say Casper is top-tier. Their attention to detail — even the soothing tone of their voices — made a difficult time more bearable. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a dignified, respectful farewell for a loved one.
Very difficult and upsetting to deal with the numerous Casper family employees. Right hand didn't know what left was doing. No one could answer a complete question. Do not do on line. I made a couple mistakes on forms. Then no one knew how to fix. When you fill out online then they ask for credit card. Well shouldn't someone over see the paperwork that it's completed correctly. No diginity or respect anymore. The Casper's were not friendly ghosts.
