Eternal Pawprints: Compassionate in-home veterinary hospice and euthanasia for your beloved pet. Serving Maryland - Baltimore, Harford, Cecil counties
There are no words for how difficult it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet, but we are so deeply grateful for the compassion and dignity this team brought into our home on the hardest day. From the moment they arrived, they were gentle, calm, and incredibly kind — not only to our 14-year-old dog Bentley, but to our entire family. Dr. Shannon took the time to explain everything, never rushed us, and allowed us the space to love, hold, and comfort our baby in his final moments. Her presence turned what could have been a traumatic experience into one that was peaceful, respectful, and filled with love. Being able to say goodbye at home, where Bentley felt safe and comfortable, was a gift we will always be thankful for. This service is not just professional — it is truly humane, empathetic, and beautiful in the way it honors both pets and the people who love them. We will forever be grateful for the care, tenderness, and grace you showed our family and our sweet dog. Thank you for helping us say goodbye in the most gentle way possible.
Our Maggie had just turned 14 and suddenly got sick. She was diagnosed with a large mass on her spleen and possibly liver. The prognosis was not good and her condition worsened rather quickly. She had a great last few days with many of her human family and pack visiting. Rather then letting her suffer we contacted Eternal Pawprints for an in home crossing. Dr. Shannon came and was very sweet and understanding of Maggie's condition. She made the crossing very calm and peaceful. It is never an easy thing to do but Dr Shannon was very compassionate and even allowed our other dogs to say goodbye.
Eternal Pawprints staff and Dr. Shannon were very informative, professional & understanding. This was my first experience of having to put my dog to rest, they made me feel comfortable from the first phone call until the end of the process, walked me through every step, allowed me the time and space with my baby and his siblings to say our goodbyes, handled him with care. I am beyond pleased with their services, it was about my fur baby and me.
I can't say enough about Eternal Pawprints and Dr. Shannon. They are compassionate and understanding. The decision our family had to make for our cat, Emmy, to be able to transition from this life was one of the hardest, and they walked us through every step of the way with sympathy and patience. Dr. Shannon showed Emmy love and was gentle with her as if she was part of her family, as well. Highly recommend if you are facing the same difficult decision for your family pet.
We had to say goodbye to our tiny voidling cat, named Rue, back in October. She'd been dealing with chronic illness for a few years and we knew it was time. Rue was an absolute sweetheart ... except at the vet clinic. She was only 6 pounds and lacked half her teeth but she sure knew how to bring fear into most vet techs' hearts. She typically needed multiple sedatives for any of her vet visits. It felt wrong for her final goodbye to be so stressful. Thankfully, services like Eternal Pawprints exist. Dr. Shannon and her staff made the process very easy. Dr. Shannon was gentle, kind, and compassionate. We didn't feel rushed at all. She even asked us questions about our girl and spent time giving her extra head rubs as she capture the paw prints. Dr. Shannon is the kind of person you want with you on one of your worse days. We are so very grateful.
