Portland PetMedic Urgent Care Vet Clinic

I like that they take appointments. I took all of my dogs there at one time or another, since my vet didn't have any openings. I visited for stomach issues, twisted paws, histamine reactions etc. Each time they saw me within 10 minuof my appointed time. They are not as expensive as emergency care. The doctors always were very good with my dogs.

We were extremely satisfied with the care our dog received. I called in advance and was able to get an appointment within a couple of hours. The room was available upon our arrival. The facility is extremely clean and modern. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. Our dog was first examined by the vet tech who was thorough and asked questions and listened to us explain the problem. Next the vet came in to do an exam. She was extremely thorough too and addressed all of our questions and concerns. The vet tech came back into the exam room and reviewed the treatment plan with us and actually showed us on a tablet everything that was being recommended for the treatment and the exact cost. We really appreciated this detail and transparency. The pricing for urgent care was very responsible in our opinion and there was not pressure to do additional services and testing. The facility was able to start treatment onsite and sent us home with all the medications we needed too without having to go to a separate pharmacy. They also sent the records to our regular vet. I would absolutely bring our dog to the Portland, Maine location again if necessary and would definitely tell others to bring their pets for urgent care.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at PetMedic Portland, especially Dr. Fowler and the technician Maria. They were both so kind, patient, and thorough during our visit. My dog wasn’t feeling well at all when we came in, but they took the time to explain everything clearly, including what was going on, what they recommended, and why. I left feeling completely confident in the plan they put together for her. They treated my dog with so much care and compassion, and by the time we left she was already looking more comfortable. Since the visit she has been on the right track and doing so much better. I truly appreciate the level of attention and professionalism they provided as it made a stressful situation so much easier.

Absolutely loved our experience here! They were able to see us day of! We were seen almost immediately and we were blown away with the staff! Everyone was friendly, they were knowledgeable, upfront, honest and so good with my pup! They made her feel comfortable during her time there. We will definitely be coming back! I've already recommended pet medic to my friends and family! Thank you to everyone there for your help!

The staff at PetMedic are so kind and reassuring! We went in for a minor emergency, and they were quick to make a plan and complete the procedure, all while trying to make my very anxious dog as comfortable as possible and reassuring me about the decisions. I hope not to have to see them soon, but if the need arises I would return without question. Thanks for all that you do!
