Wanted to thank Mr Poitras and Emily for making my brothers final wishes fulfilled. Chad sat down with me my mother and aunt explained everything in detail and listened carefully to any of our concerns. A very genuine caring funeral home.

Chad and his team took wonderful care of my mother. They stayed in contact throughout the whole process. I am young and planning services and cremation it’s not something I was quite prepared for. Chad and his team made it easier for me and helped me along the way. Once I received memorabilia jewelry even though it was months after my mothers cremation they allowed me to bring her ashes back so they could fill the memorial pieces for me which in my opinion went above and beyond. You can have a peace of mind your family member or friend is safe and respected here.

My husband died very unexpectedly. I was devastated and not able to think clearly. Chad was wonderful. So compassionate, so willing to help. He was right on top of everything. Chad made a horrible time bearable. My husbands memorial service was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Chad E Poitras funeral home at a time when you need comfort and support the most. When my father died we knew he wanted to be cremated and didn't realize we should have made arrangements with a funeral home ahead of time. My sister and I were at the nursing home with my Mom and my Dad's body and were told we needed to have someone come get him - at 6:00pm on a Saturday! We started googling crematoriums near them and then remembered that the hospice nurse had suggested Chad Poitras. We called him and he was AMAZING - from start to finish he made the process seamless - all with great compassion and care. He walked us through every step of the process even ordering the death certificates and placing the obituaries. Additionally he worked to have my dad's remains available before I left town. We will definitely recommend Chad to anyone who asks and use him again when the need arises. This is an update to the prior review because we had to use Chad again in October when my Mom passed away. Once again he was very responsive and so nice - even turning around when I decided I did want to get to Maine before they took her (I was enroute from Kentucky). Then he got us the death certificates and placed the obituaries for us. Chad and his team were professional and friendly and so considerate at a difficult time. I highly recommend him and his services.

As another commenter mentioned, Chad Poitras was recommended to my family by a hospice worker. She said he was a genuinely decent person, and would take care of everything for us. She was right. He was exactly what we needed at a time when our own functionality was pretty limited. Kind, respectful, helpful, and professional. Highly recommended.
