I can’t say enough good things—or share enough stats or praise—about Dr. K and Ashley. As someone who's worked in the veterinary field, the respect and compassion I have for these two incredible women is truly something special. Years ago, I made a last-minute appointment for my dog, Macie. Within 10 minutes, Dr. K recognized that she had PRAA. She welcomed us with open arms, took the time to walk us through Macie’s treatment plan, and made us feel completely supported through it all. Fast forward to today—I called with an emergency case, and Ashley immediately jumped into action. Her calm guidance and quick thinking helped me transfer one of our patients into their care seamlessly. Even though I don’t live close by, I know I can always count on them. They are my steady rock in the distance. Dr. K and Ashley are a powerhouse team who save lives every day. You both kick serious butt—thank you for being the superstars you are!
Absolutely wonderful people. Our cat was diagnosed with FIP and was critical. The staff was wonderful and understanding. They saved our baby Simba! Special thanks to Dr. Mouton and Mesha.
I was in Baton Rouge for the weekend visiting my bf and I brought my Dachshund to our airbnb, the next morning my dog appeared to be intoxicated falling over and couldn’t keep his head up. We rushed him to the nearest vet and he stayed overnight since we did not know what he could have ate, we were very happy with the over all care, we were able to visit him at night and the next morning the vet called us letting us know the good news of him responding well to the treatment . Our fur baby is now home he’s feeling a lot better. We also loved that the staff called us a day after his release to check on his condition.
Unfortunately, we were never able to find out if Dr. Kristen Kulinski was a good fit for our dog, Carmie. After a bad experience at another vet in town, we got in touch with the Cypress Lake Animal and Emergency Hospital specifically because their website mentioned that Dr. Kulinski practiced the Fear Free method. We set up an appointment just for our dog to meet the vet, and paid for it happily, though no treatments or tests were done at that time. When our dog was due for his annual appointment and updated vaccinations, we received a reminder in the mail from the clinic and promptly booked an appointment. The receptionist tried to book us with another vet on staff, but again, we specifically wanted to see Dr. Kulinski because the website mentions she is Fear Free certified. They allowed us to make an appointment for 8:00 pm, which seemed unusual, but we accepted. They then called us to reschedule that appointment a week later, putting us a week behind on his updated vaccinations. Annoying, but it happens. We had our new appointment rescheduled for today, July 24 at 8:00 pm. We gave our dog trazodone in preparation for his appointment, only to receive a call at 7:08 pm cancelling on us again and asking us to reschedule with another doctor in the daytime. We feel super disappointed and let down by the experience we’ve had at Cypress Lake Animal and Emergency Hospital, and when we tried to express that over the phone, we were dismissed. I can’t in good conscious recommend this clinic, which is even more of a bummer considering my wife worked here 10 years ago and had nothing but an overwhelmingly positive experience with the vet and the clinic back then. Things have clearly changed.
