Ohio Valley Pet Cemetery and Crematory

Sargeant was more than a dog, he was our son. We brought our beloved baby boy to Ohio valley. Even though my husband and I was grieving and didn’t want to leave our baby boy behind, Michaela reinsured us he’s in good hands and she will take good care of him. She said we will get his ashes back in 4 days (we dropped him off on Friday) and sure enough we picked him up on the 4th day with his urn, 2 necklaces with his ashes in them, clipping of his fur and a cremation certificate. We really appreciate Michaela and her family coming through with their word and going above and Beyond with our baby boy.

So, i had one of my dogs cremated over two years ago. They was helpful and nice. I was happy that they came and picked up my dog. They return her ashes within a few days. Now, why three stars? I had recently had another dog pass away. I called their number to make arrangements to get my other dog cremated. They never return my calls, I left about 3 messages over 4 days. I'm disappointed in this and had my dog cremated somewhere else. If you can get ahold of them and make arrangements, they are great.

I called and they immediately picked up. I asked about pricing and explained my situation, they apologized to me and told me all about the package they offer and how soon I could get the ashes back from my dog. They told me where they was located and was extremely helpful in such a stressful situation. My dog had passed in the middle of the night leaving me to deal with his corpse until the morning hours. After places opened a few places did not even pick up so I am grateful for Ohio valley.

I highly recommend this place for many reasons. They are a family owned and operated business. I appreciate this because I know who is handling my animal compared to other places where I would not. The owner is very respectful, kind, caring, and more! They are always open, even in the evenings and on the weekends. This is not the case for other places. For instance, if you take your animal to a hospital at night or over the weekend, your animal may sit in a freezer until cremation services pick them up. If you come here, your animal will be cremated in a reasonable time avoiding the freezer which may be mind-settling for you. Their prices cannot be found anywhere else, either! I think what stands out the most is the customer service! The owner and I conversed for some time at the appointment. I learned a lot about the business and the owner herself. The owner is very knowledgeable in the business. They’ve been in business for over 50 years! I really appreciate what you all do. Although you’re not always needed, I’ll keep you in mind for when you are!

I lost my two senior girls within four months of each other. Both times they were so accommodating and kind. Michaela went above and beyond to meet with me in the evening, helping me unload my girls, supporting me and giving me space to say goodbye! All these elements made this easier. 💕
