I went with a friend to plan the funeral for her mom and had several interactions with Omer Cowherd, the funeral home director, as we made plans. Every step of the process was professional and empathetic. Omer was able to explain the process and work with my friend to plan a service that honored her mom and was within her financial budget. I was conveniently located and felt welcoming and comfortable. I know my friend had a great experience for such a somber time.

Mr. Omer and Eric were so pleasant, empathetic and knowledgeable in their assistance with our dads final arrangements. From start to finish Omers team kept us aware of everything we needed to do traveling to Kentucky for a smooth intimate service for our family. We greatly appreciate everything you ALL did. Dad would be proud!

Smith and Smith provided EXCEPTIONAL service to my family recently when a loved one passed away unexpectedly. In particular, Omer Cowherd, who I believe is the manager, went above and beyond the call of duty. He was sympathetic to our loss without being patronizing or cliched. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to stay within our budget. He was extremely available and responsive to all our queries and promptly provided answers to all our questions and solutions to any issues. He helped us obtain the death certificate and report the loss to the appropriate government officials. This may be a standard offering with all the funeral homes, I’m not sure, but it sure did seem like a value add at the time as we were somewhat overwhelmed by all the things we thought we had to take care of. Mr. Cowherd was very professional but also came across as very personal. He seemed very genuine and sincere. I wish this site had more stars to express how highly I would recommend this establishment and Mr. Cowherd. He surely deserves at least 10 stars!!!

awful Customer Service was service was over and there was nobody around. We had to go find Heather which she had already left gone home and even bother to ask if we needed anything . She was just a cold-blooded person. She never introduced herself to us, never gave us. Our condolences. . Never once did she smile . It seems to us that she was prejudice against Latinos. Don’t go there if your Hispanics.

Smith & Smith funeral home was absolutely wonderful to work with. We used them for a cremation of a loved one and they were respectful and prompt throughout the entire process. Would recommend them 1000x over.
