Conboy Enterprises / Horse Hearse

A few months ago my mare unexpectedly passed away in her stall. I called that evening and Conboy came out the next day (a Sunday) to get her. I wasn’t there to see them take her away (didn’t want that image in my mind), but Kelley was very sweet and kept me informed through the process in the following days. She was able to get some nice, clay hoof prints and a lock of her mane (I had already cut her tail) for me. I had her cremated and back within a week. It was an extremely difficult time for me and they made it as easy and painless as possible. Pricing was very reasonable all things considered.

I can’t think Kelly enough for being so patient with me this morning and for her compassion. I rescued a Belgian from slaughter in March 2021. She lived the last almost 4 years doing nothing but eating and enjoying life. I lost her on Monday. Nelson County was supposed to pick her up yesterday but I came home from work to her body still here and partially uncovered. That’s a scene I’ll never get out of my head. I called Conboy this morning in a panic because I could not bear the thought of her laying there any longer. We are almost 70 miles away but Kelly promised me she would get picked up asap. I came home and they had even folded up the tarp so neatly. They will never know the sense of relief they gave me. I will be forever thankful.

The gentleman who arrived to pick up my pony was very kind - he waited until I was back in the house before he starred the process and he folded the tarps that covered her - really was so respectful in a sad time

I have been waiting for my horse ashes. Called several times but had Rio. Still waited 2-3 days and called Monday morning Rio was creamated Thursday morning!!! Still no horse. They thought waiting for a wood box for Rio to be shipped in. I told I do not want to wait for wood box. Just ship my beloved Rio in cardboard box. Once they get a wooden box ship that separately. Now I was told Monday morning will ship Rio that morning FED EX still no horse!!! It is hard enough when I am still grieving. I had Rio when he was 5/6 years old until he died 29 years old. All I want is my beloved Horse ashes at home with me!!! No tracking number so I have no idea when I am getting Rio’s ashes!!!

I cannot recommend Conboy enough for taking care of my pony after 17 years together. The urn is absolutely beautiful and everyone has been so kind. It was packaged very well but unfortunately it still came broken which was out of their control, but they are sending a new one. Thank you all so much.
