Everyone I spoke with was kind and compassionate throughout the whole process. The standard wooden box is actually really nice and has a pretty engraving on the top. The ceramic paw print and ink nose prints were perfect. I did have a short wait in the parking lot when I dropped my baby girl off and when I picked her up, but it wasn’t more than 10-15 minutes and honestly I’m glad I had that time to process. I’m not sure why they don’t have better reviews, I’m not the first in my family to use them and we never had a problem.

Very pleased with the service. Everyone we dealt with was professional and kind. They showed genuine empathy as was demonstrated by every considerate detail. The remains were placed in a decorative wooden box, with a certificate and a sympathy card. Thank you.

These people are amazing! They were so nice, sympathetic and helpful during this very trying time. The prices are shockingly low and the very nice wooden box/urn they return your pet in is really nice, too. To anyone reading this, I’m sorry for your family’s loss, and I highly recommend Borden

I really don't trust this place at all. It took several trips for them to open the door. I paid up front and I never received my dogs ashes after several calls and visits. They said that they were ready and apologized for not letting me know when I called. 3 trips there with the same employee cars in the parking lot, but no one answered the door. Even after I called the call service number and they said that they would notify the people inside that I was outside waiting. I regret that I trusted this place to care for my dogs remains. I still haven't been able to get my dog's ashes and if I did I don't trust that it would actually be from my dog. Please do not use this place.

I would NEVER take my beloved pet here for cremation! I lost my beautiful sweet Jackson in his sleep today. I called and spoke to someone on the phone who told me to come on over. When I arrived I went to the back door and called the number on the window. To my dismay when the lady answered, I told her I was here and she said no one was at that location. That she would have to call someone to come by and meet me with my pet. She then stated that she would have to get some information from me. All the while I’m standing at the back door, holding my sweet Jackson. Upon getting my information she also wanted me to give her my credit card information before someone would come to the facility. I find this truly appalling that I just lost my pet and I’m having to stand outside in the rain and wait for someone to arrive. I then told the lady on the phone that this was very unprofessional, and not heartfelt at all for me there was no mention of I’m sorry or anything. I I contacted my veterinarian, and he said to take him to Bluegrass crematorium. Upon my arrival, the lady was so caring and apologetic for the loss of my sweet boy Jackson. And assured me that they would take great care of him and also did not make me pay upfront so if you have a pet that you are looking to be cremated, I would suggest taking them to Bluegrass crematorium and not this place. Also, through doing some research, I found out that your pet is not cremated in Lexington, they take them to Louisville to Borden funeral home for the process. This whole situation leads me to believe the Borden pet cremation does not truly care about their customers. So if they don’t care about their customers I’m pretty sure they would not take loving care of your Bestfriend.
