Gim handled the entire process for cremation for my stepdad and he was so kind and compassionate and patient with us as we collected necessary info and made the entire process very smooth and painless as can be from receiving him from the hospital to delivery of the ashes. I'm very grateful and would recommend these guys to anyone.
The staff at Core Cremation showed incredible compassion and professionalism during a very difficult time for me when my Mother passed away. I was completely impressed with customer service and the product was exactly what I was looking for. They professionalism and care greatly appreciated. Core Cremation make most difficult time much easier to handle.
It has taken me almost a year to write this review because the pain is still so fresh. My precious 10yo son passed away in October and we used Core Cremation. When they came to pick up his body, my son was wrapped in his favorite blanket. I believed that the blanket would be returned to us after he was cremated. When his remains were dropped off, the person dropping off the remains was not able to answer any questions about where his blanket was. We called Core Cremation and were told that it had been written in the fine print that unless they were specifically told otherwise, everything with the body would be cremated also. There are no words for the devastation I felt. Losing my son was heart shattering enough. Now, knowing I would never have his special blanket to hold onto was painful beyond belief. I have gone back-and-forth about saying anything because I truly do understand that policy is policy. I understand how this can be (and has been) written off as my fault. However, I also feel like a company whose entire job is to serve grieving families should have a much better system than this. People walking through the horror of losing a loved one can hardly form a complete thought. Yet, we are expected to read all of the fine print on the MANY electronic forms that are sent to us. I remember trying to scroll through the forms on my tiny little iPhone screen while swallowing my own vomit and sobs in the midst of rock-bottom grief and loss. I was on my own with very little support and so it was all up to me to handle the paperwork. There was also a major misspelling on the death certificate that they informed me was pretty much on us because we had signed saying we previewed it. And again, I get that. However, there has got to be more understanding. Families don’t plan on these things, they don’t know how it works. It just blows my mind that there was no one explaining forms, offering help and support, or making sure I knew what I was agreeing to when I sent my son’s body out the door. It’s not something that can ever be made right. There is a layer of added and unnecessary trauma to what was already traumatic enough. My son is gone…and the comfort of his blanket that I had counted on and clung to the anticipation of in those early days of loss is gone too. It made a terrible experience so much worse. We are very involved in the community of families with terminally ill children and I tell families to absolutely not use core cremation. I don’t want anyone else experiencing what we did…something that just a little bit of time or effort on Core Cremation’s part could have really changed. Even a heartfelt apology when this happened would have been kind.
Gim was very nice to deal with. Very smooth process. Excellent service! Thank you!
