Memorial Day Weekend 2025: Memorial Sunset Gardens has gone through an amazing transformation in the last 12 months. Our family resting place has been cleaned up and looks better than it has in years. The landscaping, flowers and updated entrance are a credit to the new owner and the staff.

This is a Very large cemetery. It is mowed, but the grass is not pulled back from the markers. They sink, the grass grows over them, then they get mowed over. It is beautiful and peacful with all the green hills and trees, but good luck finding your loved one's resting place.

Edit - Whom ever took over has made massive improvements! The grass is being mowed, trimming could be better. But the roads and limbs in the road way aren't a problem now. This cemetary has a lot of open availability, glad to see it being taken care of now after many years of neglect. At one time this park like cemetery was adequate, the roads weren't crumbling and trees growing into the roadways. The upkeep of this resting place of my family has gone down hill over the years. The graves aren't trimmed and it's up to the family to clear off their loved ones head stone. Now my Grandma passed in January, she had prepaid for her plot, they charged to dig the hole and still haven't removed the excess dirt from her grave or the family member next to her. Have made multiple requests through the Funeral home, it is frustrating to see the lack of concern. The date of death hasn't been added to the stone because it was covered in dirt and weeds. Called the funeral home again today to get something done, it's frustrating...

My father was buried here in 2004. I wish they maintained the grass more. At least around holidays. I came the day before Father's day and could barely find his grave. We had to pull the grass to uncover.

PK McField — This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I am from California and went to visit my grandparents, my Great Aunt and Uncle’s and my father’s grave site. Upon enter the circle where my family was, I noticed the chains surrounding the statue of Saint Mark had been removed and the barriers were left laying down in the grass, the head stones of all of my family members were covered with dirt, weeds, and grass. The whole grassy area of the cemetery was completely overgrown and needed to be cut. It took my family and I twenty minutes to clean the area so that the headstones were visible. My regret is I didn’t take any pictures so that I could have shared them. This is not acceptable! My family has been at this peaceful place since 1969 and I am appalled by how it is being taken care of. If anyone at this company reads these comments you must do something to correct this situation immediately. Also, before my family and I left the cemetery, there were two car’s doing burnouts or donuts on the property desecrating the cemetery and other burial sites. This is such a shame because there’s no appreciation for the burial sites of the many people and families that are buried here. Will something be done to restore and correct the maintenance of this property? This is a cemetery, a place of rest, and the way it is being cared for needs to be addressed and improved. Would you want the final resting place of your loved ones to be in an unclean and disorderly environment? PK McField
