VCA Edgewood Animal Hospital

So disappointed. My cat is “established” at VCA Edgewood. I noticed a flea and online it claimed they could be given treatment without an appointment. The front desk argued that it’s untrue and she would need to be seen which is $80 in itself and $100 more for treatment. So instead of just helping a cat in their system who is healthy as can be they want to strong arm the owners for money first. This place used to be the best animal hospital in town. Now I have to find somewhere else and figure out flea treatments. Definitely will urge friends and family to reconsider and price hunt because they clearly only care about money and not the animal.

We have taken pets here for years with excellent care. In recent months this has changed dramatically. I currently have an animal that we take there and I don't feel that they are addressing her immediate medical need. Not even sure who to speak with there to get someone to listen.

Recently took my cat to get a dental cleaning. I was pretty nervous they were going to have to pull teeth and her have any other issues because she is in her senior years. But it was basically best case scenario! No teeth had to be pulled (saved a lot of money) and no issues at all. They also took into consideration I had to pick her up in a more timely manner unfortunately due to my schedule so I was insanely appreciative of that. Overall, they took very good care of my anxious senior cat and I’ll recommend these guys to anyone and everyone!

Never ever bring your baby on this animal hospital. There money hunger don’t care about your dog or your baby. There taking out of bank account every they told I don’t have to pay for all the shots anymore if I sign in for there pet insurance but every time I come to this place they charge me and the last time they told me that next all my dog shots are free don’t have pay nothing but I come there going to charge me again every shot and I refuse and told them I been told is going to be free all the shots next time. So they didn’t give my dog a shot and told me to leave. There head supervisor very, very rude to me. She’s unprofessional and disrespectful. Don’t ever sign for there insurance. Rip off. Lies

Edit on 4/16/2025: Dr. Conrad now works at Peterson Pet Hospital and VCA no longer sees reptiles. We found Dr. Conrad while looking for a vet to see our reptiles. The experience has been phenomenal! She is compassionate and thorough, taking the time to discuss husbandry and answer questions, or consult with a reptile specialist when more information is needed. Prices are perfectly reasonable considering the quality of care provided. One of our chameleons is showing dramatic improvements with treatment. The photo shows our other chameleon at his first visit. We strongly recommend Dr. Conrad for reptile care!
