US Cremation (USC) was reasonably priced & great to work with on signing contract in 2023. Upon death in 2025, had great responsiveness ( I spoke w/people during a weekend!), Everyone I dealt with was very kind and compassionate. They completed "almost" everything per contract, but they failed to provide URN we paid for & sent remains in a box to deceased's son (who was very disturbed since no URN). Big fail, but USC provided refund. We had to buy URN from local funeral home (Macken- they are AWESOME!) for 3X cost originally paid to US Cremation since we had military internment scheduled for specific date/time. We were happy to pay whatever cost because funeral home had URN available immediately & they transferred ashes to URN (outside of son's sight) & it was great work-around. We also thought all paperwork between US Cremation & VA Cemetery would be seamless, but were required to intercede & get specific documents signed & to VA Cemetery before internment.....very stressful & shouldn't have happened. However, overall- we were satisfied w/the experience.
US Cremation Society was exceptionally helpful with one of the most difficult events in my life, the death of my husband. Everyone I dealt with was very kind and compassionate. I heartily recommend them for anyone who chooses cremation for a loved one.
My mother filled out an authorization form of releasing the remains of her husband. They said they would call her after it was all completed so she could pick up his remains four days go by not only did she not receive a call back but they gave his remains to his oldest daughter. What was the point of filling out a release form an authorization form if they weren’t going to abide by it I called the company several times they said they would call me back in five minutes. It’s been 30. She never received his ashes back. I don’t think they even attempted to get them back so she could rightfully collect them. They haven’t even bothered her returning my phone call. I think it’s time to reach out to lawyers and they pull this crap when people are in grieving. They gave the remains to his oldest daughter when he asked all his daughter for a place to live if she could stay in her other house that she has she told him no, so what do you want his ashes for This is absolutely ridiculous and disappointing. I’m filing a lawsuit.
Very respectful and comforting at a sorrow time of our life. Also easy to work with. Everything was handled through emails and phone conversations. Thank you!
US Cremation Society exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend their services. They were supportive and sensitive throughout the process. The cost was half that of the local funeral home and they were efficient and thorough. Thank you for making a very sad time easier!
