Iowa's #1 Float and recovery center. Offering advanced therapeutic services like Flotation Therapy, Infrared Sauna, Cryotherapy and more.
The gentleman helping us was friendly and informative, we had the 90 floatation therapy session and it was definitely worth the time. As I was afraid of becoming claustrophobic they even gave me a bigger pod. Offered a military discount as well. Thank you Total Rejuvenation
I went to Total Rejuvenation and tried a float pod for the first time. It took a while to get used to the feeling, so I can see why they recommend and offer a discounted 3 float intro package. If it's your first time as well, I would recommend the same. The facility was super clean. They provide all the accessories you might need: shampoo, body wash, and conditioner for pre- and post-float showers, ear plugs, Q-tips, towels, and hand towels, all in your own private room. Besides the float spa, they also have cryotherapy, halo therapy, Normatec compression therapy, and infrared sauna. (I haven't tried those) All their prices are on the website, and you can book online too. Staff is very friendly and eager to answer any questions.
Thanks for the discount for the seventh anniversary. Very appreciated. One of each as my goal. TR scheduled me for a day of spa joy. Helped pick the ideal order to tackling this challenge. Calling it a challenge as I’d never tried the cold plunge. A couple of years ago was gifted the six week veteran float program. Life changing. I was afraid to try this at first due to my research along with my military related disability. What convinced me to say yes is I could leave anytime. As I’d imagined it might feel like being trapped. This helped me overcome my fear. This round, post COVID closures jumped at the chance to be adventurous. Have a spa day following Day of Caring with United Way and scheduled a Mother’s Day One of Everything using the generous discount. Using my military training and things learned from nursing was able to meet and exceed the cold challenge goal. I’m hooked. Excited to do this again next time. If you’re looking to gift an option highly recommend the One of Everything for that special someone in your life. Encourage them to step outside their comfort zone. For me, this is better than just a single massage for the price to loosen up. It can be an adventure. There’s lots of options for discounts and couples or group sessions. Recommend following the directions closely. Like, how to breathe doing the cold plunge. I’d anticipated I’d scream from the cold water. Taught to four count breath it was so simple to get in. Dip. Immerse fully. Remain under. A few tips that helped me, wear enough clothing so skin doesn’t touch ice at the bottom. Wear the toe and finger coozy provided … not sure what those are but they remind me of a beer or soda coozy. Since I’m tall enough kept my tippy toes above the surface at the end on the steel tub. Had to dip my fingers and emerge them above the surface several times as my tips were in pain under water. Like an intense pressured anguish. But, poking them from the water felt better. While keeping my wrist in to help my long term military injury. This might be cheating to some. For me, needed my shoulder where my rotator cup injury is healing to be under. And my wrist from a military injury. Wanted the max benefit. My toes and finger tips screamed H E double tooth picks NOooooo. While everything else said, ahhhh, this is AWESOME. Unexpected enjoyment, for me. I noticed my neck was a bit uncomfortable at first. I have a five and six vertebrae injury from childhood that mighta been bugged by the chill. Other than this, uneventful until the 8:30ish second point. Shivered slightly. To help distract myself from paying attention to the cold focused on breathing and singing 🎵Peace, Be Still 🎵 to the tune of Love Sweet Love from 1970. Thought about motivational thoughts during the other therapies to psych myself up to endure this challenge. So glad I did. I felt amazing after the Mother’s Day spa day. Other than my ear from the moisture. Quick call to the VA for how to help it dry up solved the issue. Sharing my experience as it might support someone else having a fun day trying something new. Hope this review is helpful for the novice like I was 😁
Absolutely amazing each and every time. I look forward to my floats each month- I’ve gotten so relaxed I fell asleep a few times! Such a great experience and so relaxing- I have to drive home with the windows down when it’s nice! Would 100% recommend giving each treatment a try!
