Stewart Baxter was very compassionate and patient during a time of difficult loss. The staff was professional, detail oriented, and prompt in all their communication. They made our grief laden experience a little lighter through their support and guidance.

Mason and Elizabeth were so helpful in guiding us through the loss of our mom. The entire staff is kind, friendly, respectful and professional. When we sat down with Mason to discuss mom's funeral arrangements, he was very observant and seemed to anticipate our wishes. Everything was orderly and went smoothly. Any concern we had was taken care of quickly. Mom would have been pleased with how everything went. The after care program Stewart Baxter has is helpful in making sure all affairs are taken care of. They took care of all the details, even delivered the flowers to my sister after my mom’s funeral, and followed up with us weeks later to see how we were all doing. I recommend them very highly!

They were very helpful with the passing of my Daughter. They helped with everything I needed and made sure my needs were met. I was greeted when I came in . What a wonderful resource we have right here in Cedar Rapids. Situated right on 1st Avenue, I didn’t even realize they were there. My parents had visited and had put into place their affairs beforehand but we never knew exactly how everything would fall into place when the time came. Walking into Stewart Baxter was so comforting and relaxing. The remodeled older home was inviting, clean, and warm. Everything was explained to us, questions were answered and options were offered to is at our initial meeting. Mason was fantastic. He said to call with any questions or concerns that we had and I definitely did. Mason was prompt with helping us and I can’t say enough about what a relief it was to be able to get answers immediately. We hosted a small gathering for friends and family and the staff was accommodating and very nice. It was a beautiful way to celebrate a life and their facilities were a comfort.
