A special thank you to Nelson’s funeral home for my mother in law’s arrangements. They lived up to their moto “Where family is the only thing that matters “. They treated our family with compassion, empathy, kindness, professionalism and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was one of love. They treated us like family not just another number. Nelson’s also had my mother in law looking so beautiful . We are forever grateful for them. We gained some new family members ❤️ Side note: Nelson’s Funeral Home is a black owned business on the South Side of Fort Wayne. The staff specialize on working with individuals of ALL skin tones and makes them look as if they are sleeping ready to wake up for prom! They have our utmost gratitude and respect 🫡. I’ve had nothing but a comforting peaceful experience with Nelsons. From beginning to end, all of my needs were met and they went above and beyond. All of this has been so hard for me having to plan a funeral for my husband, But Nelson’s was there for me and my family, every step of the way. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Victoria and her husband, are the sweetest souls you will ever come across. Went above and beyond When they did not have to, Very patient and understanding. Communication was top-tier. The FACT your worker dropped the ball and Never submitted Alvin Harris's obituary to be published in time for hundred's of us to attend & pay our respects to the 89 year old Veteran that gave his life to help other's at 4-5 different school's for 40+ year's is a tragedy. I've spoken with over 30 folks that had no idea he passed until the day of the services. 9am service and you publish the obituary that same day... WOW VERY VERY SAD!! The service should of been delayed by your own poor work. The worst part is there's No way to make this right! Be very careful who you trust with your Loved one's services. Too bad Alvin didn't get this all planned out. As he surely wouldn't of accepted this kind of service period! Shame on that female worker of your's!! And she never even mentioned it nor apologized as we wondered why the service was a ghost town... 👎🏽👎🏽 But that's right you were friend's with the Valerie's family SMH

I want to say Thank you to Nelson Memorial Gardens Inc. The circumstances of our situation was unique. My Sister-in-law passed Dec 2024 and my Father passed 3 days later. Victor was given the task to prepare for two funerals within 2 days of one another. He met and exceeded our expectations. Along with Pastor Griffin , Victor (Nelson Memorial Gardens) were professional, kind, respectful and patient with both families. My sweetest friends service was here and even though we will all be missing Pam I thought this was a beautiful service for her,It was very nice and the atmosphere and spirits were amazing,Thank you Nelson Memorial for a compassionate caring service ❤️
