Advantage was extremely professional and helpful. They were very transparent about every cost. There were no surprises! The person assisting me, Ireland, was very informative but did not pressure me in any manner. I would highly recommend Advantage for your after death needs.
I've had to handle multiple deaths in my family. Most recently was my cousin. I lived out of state & had to rely on information over the phone. In person I have never received the sincere compassion & help as I have with Advantage Funeral & Cremation! Don't get me wrong; other funeral homes were good, but Advantage was exceptional. In trying to find a place (over the phone) I choose Advantage due to the authentic care & concern I received from a woman named Norma. All the staff I spoke with was kind, but Norma was why I chose them. I applaud her sincerity & kindness.
My family's experience with Advantage was something I wouldn't want anyone to go through while grieving a loved one. Despite my father having made all of his arrangements ahead of his (tragic and sudden) passing, we were pressured into being "upsold" on everything. Jon Lloyd was completely insensitive to us, pulling up my father's death certificate with no warning in our meeting, just four days after he passed in an accident, and before any of us had been told his true cause of death. He also bragged about clients giving him expensive gifts during our meeting, which was completely inappropriate. I felt like I was sitting at the table with a used car salesman. Not only that, but the funeral home temporarily lost my father's personal effects, including his wedding ring and gold chain that was not only financial valuable to us, but emotionally valuable. While these items were ultimately "found", it caused our family additional distress during a time when we should have been comforted and cared for. Finally, we requested several cups of my father's remains to be held aside for family members, and instead, we were left with three tablespoons. The incompetence and insensitivity was appalling. This funeral home and Jon Lloyd specifically are unprofessional and in the wrong business when it comes to caring for the bereaved. Do NOT entrust your loved one's final arrangements to them.
From start to finish the staff made sure every detail was handled and explained. No surprises no hidden cost. Went smoothly and took pressure off of family. Thank you to a compassionate group of people!!!
