As veterinarians, our goal at Gentle Goodbyes is to provide peaceful goodbyes for pets in the privacy & comfort of your own home. Pet cremation available.
Gentle goodbyes provided us with a beautiful experience of saying goodbye to our best guy. Their team was personal and professional through deep sadness and emotion. I recommend them to anyone needing this service. Our fur babies deserve the dignity amd ease of saying goodbye in their homes.
Our sweet dog Alice suddenly became sick with cancer and was referred to gentle goodbyes. I am so, so glad we were referred to them. Communication with them felt easy and clear given the sensitive situation. They answered all my questions before and during the appointment. At the time of the euthanasia, they handled sweet Alice with such care and talked us through each step. Thanks to them, Alice was able to pass under her favorite tree surrounded by people who loved her and being hugged by her dad. This was the hardest thing I have ever done, but the amazing care provided made this situation a little easier ♥️
These ladies were so patient and understanding. They know that a home with a loving family is the best way to say goodbye. I so so so appreciate that they came out and helped our little dog who we love so much say goodbye. I recommend this for everyone. The price paid is definitley worth it. They drove two cars and met at our place. If you go to a veterinarian office you are going to pay for a vet visit and all the overhead. Great value! Again and I can’t say enough how much of a wonderful service this is.
Absolutely the most difficult decision we have made up to now. 16 wonderful years we were blessed to experience the joy our lil Solomon brought into our home. Gentle Goodbyes was exactly that. Kind and caring in every way. They made an extremely sad experience as manageable as possible. The price of a good dog is a broken heart in the end 😢
My cat, Vienna, was euthanized on 8/22/25. It was a terrible experience. How do you get over feeling like you failed your beloved at their most vulnerable moment? While I have gone through an occasional difficult euthanasia due to physiology and disease state, this event was exponentially worse, because it was a people problem that could have been handled much differently. The vet and tech could have asked me if I needed their help catching her, instead of cornering, then pouncing on her in a closet as she was trying to hide. If I had not been dealing with grief and thinking clearly, I would have had her contained in a carrier before they arrived. But I didn't know that the dog-mentality people sent would be so devoid of cat sensibilities, and that they would be in such an aggressive hurry. After sedating her, the tech tried four times to get the IV catheter placed, which was difficult to watch, and then, they didn't even ask me if I wanted to hold her, as the pentobarbital drug was injected and she took her last breath. Instead, if I had taken Vienna to my vet, The Cat Doctor, she would have been handled tenderly with care and respect. She would not have been fearful and stressed at her last moments. Plus, it would have cost a whopping $150.00 less. This was my fourth, and final, time using so-called Gentle Goodbyes. My cat's goodbye was not gentle. Their treatment of her was unacceptable. Furthermore, the injustice will haunt me forever.
