A wonderful place to get a new friend. The staff is wonderful, helpful and eager to match you with a new friend. Adopt, don't shop. I was so happy I was able to find a new companion after my senior dog passed. My new friend is named Koko

I am writing to express my absolute outrage regarding the treatment of my lost puppies while in your care. It is hypocritical and devastating that your staff were concerned with how my mother had our dog sit, yet you allowed my puppies to be starved while they were under your responsibility. Your actions are not only inhumane but have caused my family immense emotional pain. I expect a full explanation of why my puppies were neglected and a record of the care they were supposedly provided. This level of double standard and lack of basic care is unacceptable for an organization that claims to protect animals.

Just moved out here and wanted to adopt & idk how it works out here but on the main land if your looking at a cat they don’t just give it to someone who just showed up did not reserve the animal you were looking at to someone else just because they did the QR faster & then say kids can pick up the animals under adult supervision but the moment my kid tries to pick up one it changes to “oh now he can’t” worst experiences at a animal shelter & I adopted pets before but never experienced it like this

Update: we were compensated We adopted a dog that had other illnesses that were not present in their medical history which lead us to spending over 6 thousand dollars in emergency vet visits because the Hawaiian Humane Society gave our dog steroids that made their illness worse and we were promised compensation due to the physical damage for our dog as well as emotional damages caused to me due having to see my dog vomit and diarrhea blood all over the house due to the illness that they did not catch. We are still asking for compensation because unfortunately we had to return the dog after having her for only a month and a half due to all of these issues. They continue to give us the slip when it comes to our compensation. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Don’t go here and don’t surrender here unless you absolutely have to if you value an animals life.
