Great small town feel and vibe. The chapel is very cute with an old Hawaii 70’s decor. The staff are polite and personable. Quinton is a very friendly person with a welcoming smile-

First of all, let me say that I cannot recommend Diamond Head Mortuary or Valley of the Temple to anyone. My family and I were already dealing with grief regarding the passing of our precious father, and the stress of dealing with incompetent individuals working for Diamond Head Mortuary and Valley of the Temple made our stress greater. The main problem is the lack of communication from staff, misinformation given to us as a family, our constantly having to follow up because staff was not following up, and continuous mistakes being made by staff through the entire funeral service and burial process. For example, I was omitted in my father’s obituary, which appeared in the newspaper as being a surviving daughter of my father. All of my other siblings and their families were listed in the obituary, but not me, my husband or children. This was a BIG oversight, which shouldn’t have happened, and when I brought it to the attention of upper management, well they were not responsive either. I felt so dishonored that my name was not even mentioned in my dad’s obituary, and this was also dishonoring to my dad too. Isn’t that outrageous and unprofessional! So, do yourself a favor and in your time of loss and grief, DO NOT choose Diamond Head Mortuary or Valley of the Temple funeral home.

I wish i read the reviews about this place first. The only thing that i can really complain about is the funeral arranger rhiana ruiz. She didnt run the obituary two sundays prior to the service. And when she emailed me the proof that it will be posted this sunday the deceased age was wrong. She seemed to be sick every monday and would never return emails in less than 24 hours. Its friday now after business hours and they close on the weekend. The funeral is tuesday the obituary wasnt run we still have unanswered questions. And when i asked rhiana for the funeral directors name and number she said she cant provide it. Dont come to this mortuary even though the facilities are nice

Don't get your loved one cremated here. I warn you. These people will mess up the paper work multiple times. Will give you zero communication. No accountability. Very rude. They got my father's information incorrect 6 different times. It's been a month and I still have no idea if he's been cremated yet. If death certificates are in the mail. Don't use these peoples services, there's plenty of other options on this island. You shouldn't have to deal with unprofessional under qualified staff like this when dealing with the loss of a lived one.

The people and services at Diamond Head Mortuary are exceptional. Outward appearances of the facilities misrepresent the phenomenal experience we had during a very difficult time. You and your loved one will be well cared for here. While I hope it’s a very long time until we need these services again, I will come back to DHM when we do.
